Definitely works. You have to be brutally honest and log everything! And log it accurately!. I have been doing this for about 10 weeks and have lost 33 lbs.

I am a 45 yo male, 5'11" and weight of 230#. I am eating 1460 calories a day, and still losing weight. You are trying to push it too fast. To be healthy, you should only be losing 1-2 lbs a week.

Beer/alcohol. Usually when I start, I have too much, then get the double whammy of binge eating after!

I think this happens to a lot of us. For me, I either binge on alcohol, or after leaving room for a few drinks, binge eat after I drink when my inhibitions are down. Like you say, though, if you keep at it and do good on most days, you will lose weight.
