My knees hurt from the 30 Day shred as well (all those jumping jacks and jumping rope ARE a killer). I solved this by doing all that high-intensity jumping on a mini-trampoline. Jumping jacks on a trampoline does take some practice, but I only fell off once!

3 lb. weights here, but I really don't have any muscle tone to speak of!

I used to be the same way (i hated water) - but I have found that if I don't drink at least 8 glasses a day, not only do I not lose weight, I gain! Everyone is different, but drinking at least 8 glasses a day makes a huge difference for me!
