  • These look amazing and I have all these ingredients so am excited to try to make them, do you have the exact quantities of each by any chance? Or do you do it by sight? Also do you think it'd work with prunes instead of dates?
  • I just toss them in a bowl with olive oil, paprika, mixed herbs and some salt and pepper. I often roast them together with a few garlic cloves, a red onion and a pepper.
  • I have 'healthy' porridge and 'treat' porridge! Regular: ripe banana (melts in the microwave), almond milk, a few prunes, flaked almonds and a drizzle of honey Best porridge ever: ripe banana. Skim milk, Couple of spoons of nuttella, chocolate nesquik powder, broken up walnuts
  • 4mph is a walk for me, fairly fast but not speed walking (I am 5'8 though) I tend to jog at about 6.5 mph, and a fast run is just over 7.
  • A whole packet of marshmallows and almost a whole carton of hazelnut soya drink...weird combo and I felt so sick afterwards :(
  • I will allow a photo of me in a bikini to exist I wore one last year, I was probably about 130lb but nowhere near toned enough for photographic evidence. Here's hoping this summer it'll happen!
  • I make sure my calories are under 1000, usually 800 or 900, and I eat a ton of fruit and veg on top to make sure I'm not starving myself but don't count them. I don't log my calories on MFP because of this as I prefer to have the freedom to eat whatever fruit and veg and go more by instinct but it probably won't work if…
  • A handful of almonds, a muller light yoghurt, strawberries, blueberries, carrots etc :) I try and keep all my snacks fruit/veg based though, and the occasional special K cereal bar. I'm guessing you can only get these in the UK - they're a cadbury's chocolate bar w/ caramel, only about 100 cals each :)…
  • Almost always dinner, except on Sundays when I'm having a family lunch or something.
  • I don't count strictly calories or weigh myself at the moment but I still think I'm 'on a diet' so to speak. I just know how much my body needs and go more by instinct, like I'll count the calories of certain carbs to make sure I don't go OTT but tend to eat whatever veg/fruit I like without trying to fit it into a 'daily…
  • This is weird but I find watching documentaries on diets/obesity or things like the biggest loser help, or I'll look at healthy recipes on the nutrition section of stumble upon. If I'm not eating food then somehow reading about it or even watching cookery shows helps and makes me appreciate it as a treat rather than…
  • Never :) I use the mirror or how my clothes fit as I'm not overweight I'm just looking to be healthy/tone. I've found in the past I've gotten too obsessed with numbers when weight isn't even the main issue. If I ever start measuring my weight loss again I'll do measurements. I've also found I'm healthier at university…
  • This is complete misinformation...it does not matter if you eat all of your calories in one sitting - there is no scientific proof to back this metabolism nonsense up. The only danger with IF is if you binge easily - say you don't eat all day, come home from work starving, you could easily lose control. It works for some…
  • Still can't believe how many people think breakfast is an essential part of losing weight or that it matters what time you eat. It really doesn't so don't worry :) I eat cereal at about 1pm these days and dinner 6 hours later - just works for me as I see no reason to 'wake up' my appetite earlier on, I'd rather suppress it…
  • I've done this every time I want to lose weight without even knowing it's a recognised concept/diet method! I find the only way I can really lose weight is eating 'breakfast' (about 200kcal) around 1-2pm, a couple of fruit/veg snacks a couple hours later and then regular dinner at about 7. It's always worked for me and…
  • Unfortunately no, as my weight loss hasn't been as consistent recently I've been limiting carbs and fats significantly and increasing my protein/veg. I don't think you can achieve such effective weight loss or maintain a healthy lifestyle if you continue eating within say, 1200-1500 calories but comprise that mostly of…
  • well done, this must've taken some hard work as you weren't at all overweight to begin with :) this is such an inspiration to me, i was around your weight to begin with and want to end up the same, hopefully i'll see similar results in a couple of months even though my body shape is a little different.
