I believe it's called recomp. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I also eat chocolate everyday. There's no way I would stick to this life style if I deprived myself of the thing I love most. What I do though is eat protein chocolate bars. I wouldn't say they are "good" for you.. but they taste awesome and will help you at least hit your macro goals (if you have any). If not, just eat…

Haha I agree. What? Should we just not say anything to anyone ever?

I hateeeee veggies. Only carrots (non-steamed) and broccoli taste good to me. You're right though, I need to find more variety of them. Don't want to get bored eating the same stuff. I'm glad you all mentioned that I actually need to have muscle for them to show. I will continue to work harder and eating good. I am not…

Do not want stage abs. Ever. Just want them to show a bit. I do stay close to my daily calorie mark. The only reason I said I wasn't too worried about my calorie intake is because I think I'm supposed to be eating a little more than I am at the moment. I will be eating at TDEE soon but I'm upping my intake by 100 each week…

Love lifting!!! Only been at it for 2 months and can already see/feel the difference.
-
Nah. Too much hassle. I'm doing just fine without tracking it.
-
I started drinking them when as soon as I realized I wasn't hitting my protein goal.
-
Same.

5x a week! I do weight lifting and just a little bit of cardio (HIIT) each day.
-
If I'm hungry, I just eat. Of course, I try to eat more protein as it is more filling! and may throw in some healthy carbs if I feel like that is what I am craving.

Meal prep.

There is 8 oz of water in one cup.

Trust me, you want to lose slowly. If you lose quickly then there is a good chance you will regain the weight just as quickly! I've seen it happen to friends and co workers and it happened to me. It's not a good feeling. Good luck!

I agree. I had to ask a thousand questions to get to where I am now. I'm so happy there were people put there who didn't mind my posts.

I don't really eat fast good either unless I absolutely have to. Like if my little sister wants to go after church and that's what she considers to be our bonding moment. Also, fast food is gross. Tastes great.. but yeh.

That I don't have to starve myself to look the way that I want (actually, starving myself would never help me reach my goal!!). Lifting heavy and eating right is what works best for me. Never could of figured that out on my own. Even after hours and hours of research, I still come back to MFP for clarification.

On Tuesday I was at 132.2 (this was after a bad weekend. I was at 130 the past week), on Wednesday I as at 131.8, yesterday I was at 131 and today i'm at 131. I won't take this week so seriously since this week is when I started eating at a maintenance but this information really help! Definitely keeping the bolded in mind…
-
I would eat more if I were you.
-
I lift heavy and will now incorporate HIIT workouts.
-
I always have maybe 50 or 30 cals left in the day. I just leave them alone.
-
Still on the second page of the forum you linked and loving it! I think what I am doing is pretty much recomp. Eating at a maintenance and lifting heavy. Will stick to that for a while to see where it takes me.
-
No no nooooooooo. Eating 500 cals a day will kill ya.
-
So my goal is to lift heavy and lean out. Right now I weight 131 lbs and am 5ft 7in tall. Do not know my body fat % but I'd say it's about 25-28%. Although I am counting calories, I am more concerned with counting my macros. Especially protein. If I am in a calorie deficit and didn't hit my protein goal then I will eat…

I have some pre workout. My husband tries to eat some yogurt or a banana (plus the pre workout). Everyone is different.

For me, I told myself the first 5lbs lost was just water weight. Mainly because the ads on TV say "Lose 5lbs the first week guaranteed!" so I assume they are trying to fool some suckers into thinking they're losing actual weight when it's really just water weight. I could be wrong though. Someone will correct me I'm sure.

Questions I ask myself if I'm "hungry": 1. Am I thirsty? Have I been drinking enough water today? 2. When did I last eat? When is my next meal? Can I wait that long? 3. Would I eat a bowl of broccoli if it were given to me or am I just craving junk food? (this question is usually after a main meal) I try to listen to my…

DOING THIS. Thank you everyone for your suggestions. Can't wait to get started.
-
I would never lose weight for anyone other than myself. However, knowing my husband works out constantly and eats super healthy motivates me to do the same. I can't have him looking better than me!!! ;) JK
