I realy like most of the concepts of Paleo, it has helped me alot. Cutting out grains has removed all my digestive problems. I removed processed sugars and now dont feel like taking a nap halfway through the day. Plus I've dropped my body fat % to 26 from 36 without changing anything else. It is definately something to try…

This may be an interesting read for people on this topic: http://www.marksdailyapple.com/the-definitive-guide-to-sugar/#axzz1phQvQKCO

I've been off sugar for over a year. I feel amazing.

I posted several links to information for you to read, troll much?
-
It is unfortunate the number of people here who simply want to troll instead of making intelligent discussion.

Your right. I should specify, transfats made by man. the trans fat in ruminant animal products is CLA, naturally occurring trans fats are good for you. Plus they have antibacterial properties. But like grains that are man made, transfats that are man made are bad. http://www.t-nation.com/readArticle.do?id=1365312&cr=

I suppose that depends on what it is... Your telling me you like the toxins found in grains? I avoid them for the same reason I avoid transfats.

Rice grows naturaly, it is the seed of the monocot plants. Wheat and barley are man made hybrids that never would have existed if not for us.

I've been through the whole shake thing, but when I am hungry in a pinch I can throw togeather a very filling salad that is much more satasfying and has a much better nutritional profile. I don't like how so many supliments have so much junk in them. http://www.marksdailyapple.com/two-minute-salad/#axzz1pgsALXNR

Do you have something better to offer? or are you just in denial.

Oh, and my bad... 5+ million years according to berkley. If you are unsure, perhaps you should brush up on your history http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human_evolution

wild grasses do not equal grains, plus they are focusing on asia on top of it, notice how asians tend to have lots of RICE, not GRAINS like we do here.
-
I do feel the need to point out that grains have only exsisted for about 10,000 years. Where as humans have been around for almost 2 million years.

I realy like stevia, good to know it is becoming more popular.

I am not being silly... While whole grains tend to have a better nutrition profile, and fibre which is anti-inflamitory, they are still a risk for most western diseases. That includes heart disease.
-
I avoid grains because they are inflamitory. Making them a risk factor for heart disease. I eat saturated and monounsaturated fats because they are anti-inflamitory.

I dunno, could be a Sims referance

But now we have to report you for being off topic

Eat nutritionaly dense, real food if you feel hungry. I doubt that lion over there counts how many bites of zebra he gets :p
-
Unfortunately not all carbs are created equal, the ones we tend to eat seem to have adverse affects. I say if you want carbs, stick with veggies, and sweet potatoes, stay away from grain, corn and processed sugars.
-
You may want to look into what you fill your calories with, check into the nutrition profile and make sure those calories arn't empty.

True, but I respect them for having balls enough to take it mainstream when so many people think differenly. Even if I don't agree with every idea they have, they make good enough points to warrent an investigation into what they preach.
