  • Oh goodness, time for me to be the obnoxious lady playing 50,000 questions hah. Great advice, thank you!
  • Oh wow, I never knew. Thanks.
  • I use the omron jut to get a general idea of my BF. But how will I know how many calories I burn? I mean, I'm moving constantly during my workouts, even during rest periods between sets & I have an moderately to highly elevated heart rate for at least 80 of my workout.
  • Great advice, thanks!
  • I use a polar heart rate monitor. It tells me how much I burn per session. I also use an omron body fat measuring tool. I started using both when I used to have a personal trainer & dropped my first 20 lbs. I weigh my foods & track them w/ MFP. A friend of mine suggested IIFYM so I used the calculator on the iifym.com…
  • Oh, good to know. They didn't mention anything like that when I met with them. I'll be sure to ask the next time. Thanks!
  • I understand it will take time. I'm hoping it'll take me no more than a year.. The 165 weight is the max for my height for the military, but I wasn't sure about body fat. I couldn't find specific weights for each branch, just a general. I'll definitely be doing more research. I really appreciate all your advice. Thank you!
  • 5'6, 205 & I guess 165. Im looking more to get to at least 33% body fat, but 165 sounds pretty reasonable or no?
  • I want the safest more. I don't want to wash out during boot camp. I'm only on this diet because this is what I was on when I had a personal trainer a few months ago. Although, I'm up for any suggestions. I read that a woman only needs 1000-1200 calories for normal bodily functions, but I'm willing to change my diet. I…
  • if only life had a pause button hah. a lot of us have fallen off our fair share of times, but what matters is that we get back up & try harder. congrats on getting back on the right track (:
  • I pretty much have the same shool schedule as you. it'll be hard but you can do it. first off, meal prep is key! I pick two days out of the week to cook about 3-4 days worth of food that I can either eat cold or pop in the microwave. don't forget snacks if you have munchies like me. that includes breakfast, lunch & dinner.…
  • I'll be back in school as well. full time starting next week. preparing meals ahead of time has definitely helped! I pick 2 days out of the week to cook about 3-4 days worth of food that I can either eat cold or just pop in the microwave. that includes breakfast, lunch & dinner for both hubby & I. I started about a week…
  • What's really been helping me lately is preparing food ahead of time! Prepackaged meals made from home that you can either eat cold or pop in the microwave, stuff you can store in the freezer, etc. I pick two days out of the week where I do meal prep (usually takes me less than two hours, sometimes even shorter depending…
  • If you're that active, it may just look like you're gaining weight because you're building muscle. I had a personal trainer at one point & that's what was happening to me. Then I fell off the bandwagon & saw what bad weight gain was hah. Just watch how your body is changing, not the scale & keep it up! I definitely need to…
