Wow! You've done amazing! Love that last pic:)

November 2009. I was 301 lbs and 32 years old. I had been on MFP before, but started again, and am now 201 (almost).

Awesome! Way to go:)

Way to go! You've made awesome progress:)

I agree, it can take some time to see the results. But also, you said you weighed yourself on a random scale. You really need to weigh yourself consistently on the same scale, at the same time of day, wearing the same clothes (or without) to really know how you are doing. Different scales will be calibrated differently,…

Woohoo! That's great:) I haven't been the size,I am now since high school (17 years ago). But I do enjoy going to the store and being able to buy the cute stuff. Looking forward to the day I don't have to look in the plus size section.

Awesome! Love those NSVs!

My 9 year old son does this! He is so happy that I'm getting healthy, and likes to see how much farther he get his arms around me. He can grab his forearms now! I have explained that his arms are also getting longer, but that he's right, I have made A LOT of progress. Makes me so glad to see the look on his face!

The only person who asks is my husband, and only because I've asked him to, in specific situations. I know there are some foods that are fine for me to eat 1 serving of, but I have a tendency to take more. So I asked him to hold me accountable by asking me if I've planned for that extra helping when he sees me taking more.…

Thanks, everyone! And yes, I know (and feel proud of) that 99 pounds is huge! I just really want to see that number tick:) I'm usually not that obsessed with the number. I know that every pound lost is a success. I'm just so looking forward to officially being 2/3 to my goal. It helps that I know I'm doing the right…

This. I do it all the time!

One of my faves used to be 1 scrambled egg, 1 slice cheese, on 2 toaster waffles, as a sandwich. It worked fine for me in my goals (about 400 cals). I have gotten away from it, but think I will be going back. I have started putting most of my calories at the end of the day, and I think that may be part of what is keeping…

Awesome! Way to go:happy:

If you aren't comfortable with that number, I would suggest playing around with it. Your loss may end up being slower than you'd like, but the slower you go, the more likely you are to really make long term changes. Basically, if you aren't comfortable with that level, change it. But I do highly recommend eating back most…

I don't do 30 Day Shred, so can't help you there, but I definately recommend getting some before pics taken soon. I didn't have any, as I didn't like being in front of the camera. Luckily a friend took one of me and a couple friends when I was in KC for 10 year college reunion. She put it on Facebook and I grabbed it from…

Walking is absolutely exercise! If you can't walk real fast, the calorie burn will be lower, but you are still using your muscles actively. You have to work at things that fit your needs. My joints give me issues, so while I like Zumba and Bollywood kind of things, walking is the best thing for me to do regularly.

Ditto. I don't do well cutting things out completely. But using my scale and accounting for it keeps me on track.

Way to go! You're doing awesome.

This. Can't believe I forgot that part. Always ask for the box first. I only eat half the steak and half the potato, but if I sit there looking at it while my family eats, I'll usually end up losing my will power.

I love Outback. It's easily my favorite place to eat out. Luckily, we don't have one where I lice, so I only eat there on special occasions when we are out of town. There is plenty of info in the MFP database to plan. I usually get the 6 oz special (steak) but only eat half. I love the bread, the potato, the onion peel. I…

Yes! Between losing weight, and conditioning your muscles, your calorie burn will decrease over time. At least you have the HRM, so you should be able to push yourself into that target range. Your weight loss will still affect calorie burn, though, even w/ the same level of exertion.

Initially, my goal was (and still officially is) 150. That would still technically be overweight, but it has been so long since I was anywhere near there, that I have no idea what it will look like. I chose it mostly because it would be half the weight I was when I got started in November 2009. Now, I believe I will…

It depends on the day! Sometimes I look at myself and see how far I've come, other days I only see how big I still am. It helps to see side by side pics to really see the difference. My son (age 9.5) likes to come up and give me a hug. He'll tell me how much farther he can get his arms around me now:) I can see how happy…

I started at 301 lbs, wearing size 28/30 jeans. I'm now 208, wearing size 16. Last time I wore size 16, I was at least 15 lbs lighter, if not 20-25. My goal is 140-150, and I have no idea what size that will end up being.

recropping didn't work. Oh well. Or it was just Google Chrome. I can see it fine in Explorer.
-
arrgh. gonna try to recrop.

This us something I haven't had for awhile, but it was so good on days I worked out. 2 toaster waffles, 1 scrambled egg, 1 slice cheese (I used American, but you could use something else), 1 slice tomato, a few fresh basil leaves. Gonna have to do that again this year when my garden comes in.

I understand if you are looking for people who are closer to the beginning of their journey, but you can add me if you'd like. I started at 301 lbs. It's been 2 1/2 years, with various ups and downs, but I know what it's like to be where you are:) Good luck either way! You can do it

Awesome! Way to go. You look terrific:)

Sorry, it took me a bit to get it right. I haven't posted a pic before, and couldn't tell if it was right without actually posting.
