Way to go! Gotta love the increased strength:)

This! I agree completely.

I just started week 6 of the beginner track. I have really seen results. I won't take measurements til Wednesday night, but I can definately see and feel a difference. And when I started, I had to do push ups with my hands elevated (easier than 'normal'), but today I did 2 sets of 5 push ups with my feet elevated (harder…

Yum! Gonna have to try this:)

I might actually get some protein powder to try this:)

It is not tacky at all! Go for it:) if they don't want to be a part of it, so be it, but plenty of people do this kind of thing, when either they didn't get to do the big ceremony in the beginning, or they've gotten through some really tough times, and want to acknlowledge their journey.

As a girl, my mom was always worried about my weight, as well as hers. Unfortunately, the way she went about it made me more self conscious than anything. I really believe you need to be careful, and not make this a 'diet' for her. Have healthy foods around, but also teach her how to have self control with those foods she…

406. Much prefer being under 200 to being over 400!

Now I know what I'm doing with my first zucchini from the garden!

I don't have anything that is 'off limits' because then I can say to myself 'I don't have room for this, or I can have a small amount if it fits in my calories'. I find that when I try to cut things out completely, I am more likely to just say 'screw it' and go off the rails. If I know I can have those things in…

I heard about a book called You Are Your Own Gym on one of the forum posts here. I got it on Kindle, and then got the app (I think it was a couple $). It is basically a bunch of bodyweight exercises. There are some exercise plans, or you can pick and choose what works best for you. There are a lot of core specific…

I think 1, 3, & 5 look great!

I'm still working on being able to do 1:)

I did until about 2 weeks ago. I lost 100 pounds eating them back. The only reason I 'stopped' is that I started a bodyweight workout program. Strength training is hard to track calories, and is supposed to increase your calories burn, even when not exercising, so I instead increased my activity level to account for the…

WTG! My husband got sick in the middle of week 5, so once he was better, he redid day 3, then took his exhaustion test, and did 210. He called it good, as well:) Good luck on the push ups:)

Awesome! You look fantastic!

I love a whole egg! But, I have found, as I am trying to pay closer attention to my macros that if I use whole eggs all the time, my fat goes up too much. So I usually use 1 whole and 2 whites for breakfast, and then egg whites in my lunch and snack. That gets me the protein w/o the fat that I need, but still some of the…

Awesome work!

Me too! I still don't really care for the canned button mushrooms, but I eat sauteed baby portabellos almost everday (actually, multiple times a day, if I have them at home). The first time I had blue cheese, I was at a Christmas party and it was served on my steak (that was just them meal they served). So I tried it, and…

If you are walking outside, Endomondo is a good app.

No, and Yes. From where I was in Nov. 2009, I have not lost at the rate I set for my goal calories. But, life has happened in the meantime, and I am still 100 pounds lighter than I was. I have built the habits that let me meets life's trials and not blow up like a balloon, so yes, I would day I'm on track. I have a goal…

Well done!

Bubbles! Bubbles for the 3 year old! I was so surprised yesterday, I made my kids go outside for a bit, and they kept coming up with more things to do outside. They started with bubbles, went to water guns, then played on their scooters/ride on toys. I would say they spent almost 2 hours outside. It was awesome! If your…

Welcome! Congratulations on your baby! You can do it:)

I saw some family this weekend that I haven't seen in a while. My uncle, in particular, hasn't seen me since July of last year. I don't normally post my weightloss stuff on Facebook, because I figure, they don't want to be hearing it all the time. But I hit a couple big milestones lately that I chose to share there. When I…

I don't think there's anything wrong w/ being a 0 or a 12. It depends on your body, and what looks good on you. I will say, when I was at 300 lbs, wearing a size 28 or 30, I set my goal for 150 lbs. I had no idea what size I would be when I got there, bit I thought size 12 was about where I would end up. Now, I'm right…

I just started doing the basic You Are Your Own Gym workout. It's a book by Mark Lauren. There's an app to help you track your workouts too. They aren't free, but I'd say it's worth it.

So awesome! Way to go!

Wow! You might need to buy a new pair of shoes:)
