  • Awesome post Banks.. Thanks for making me think, and for sharing... You rock! :drinker:
  • I do Zumba regularly at my gym, and I burn anywhere from 600 - 700 calories in an hour. I think, like anything, the more intense you work at it, the better your results.. I love it as a workout because it doesn't feel like I'm exercising... It's just FUN!! Good luck to you!

  • I'm disappointed... totally... :noway: Adam was much more talented.. as others have said, at least he isn't saddled with that horrible song! He'll be an amazing star, regardless...
  • GO ADAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :drinker:
  • and just like that.. POOF.. it's gone! Whew!
  • I completely agree with you.. from Ron to Tara, my sentiments exactly... great minds memaw... great minds...
  • *WARNING, ELVIS IMPERSONATION* Why Thank Yuh.. Thank Yuh very much...
  • bumping this to put it in my topics... as usual Banks, you're my hero... :drinker: Edited to say.. and AWTY, great thread!
  • I chew it. I don't log it.. not enough calories to worry about... I also use it to keep from eating.. keeps my mouth busy doing something besides shoveling food in!
  • I know Adam is over the top, but he's SO much better than everyone else... I don't like the screaming part either, but he is amazing.. he's so creative with what he can do with a song and when he isn't screaming, he can REALLY sing.. Danny was my fav from the beginning, but he's starting to fizzle for me.. last not was NOT…
  • I'm on the bandwagon with you all that this is crazy.. I read the 'offending' thread and I don't think it was worth getting banned for 30 days over.. I also sent Mike a PM saying that I dont think it's fair that he's being singled out... For what it's worth, Dave... There are a great number of folks on this site that…
  • nevermind.. I called Polar and confirmed you do NOT need the receipt and proof of purchase... just a miscommunication.. Thanks all!
  • Ok. so I gave a friend of mine my Polar F4 when I upgraded to an F6. It now needs a new battery. She contacted them about sending it back to them to have it replaced, and she says they are saying she needs to send in the receipt and proof of purchase... Well, I don't have the receipt and proof of purchase anymore, and I'm…
  • mine has done what you describe a few times before, and it was usually a strap issue.. mine was too loose... also, make sure you wet the leads... since you have an F6 you shouldn't be getting interference from others... if it continues I'd contact Polar.. good luck! :flowerforyou:
  • my guess would be yes.. V8 is what I think of when I think of veggie juice.. and yes, I'm pretty sure there's a low sodium version... (I think I remember Banks posting about drinking it) it's worth a try and goodness knows it can't hurt!! I'm gonna pick up some on my next trip to the store.. at a minimum, it'll be a good…
  • Thought I'd share.. I forget you can 'drink' your veggies too.. _____________________________ Study: Drinking Vegetable Juice Boosts Weight Loss Thursday, April 23, 2009 Drinking at least one glass of low sodium vegetable juice every day may help overweight dieters lose more weight. In a study, adults who drank at…
  • Tara's my favorite.. gusty call last night to take the money instead of the pound (I was screaming at the TV not to do it, but it worked out for her).. I just like her attitude.. she never quits, and I thought Helen was out of line during the challenge when she got on her for not giving in... Helen is not one of my…
  • why can't men just listen and nod and understand instead of making us crazy? :explode: sorry, I love my DH, but he isn't the best at letting me vent, so I totally understand where you're coming from! anyway, congrats on staying away from food.. even though I've been at this for almost a year now, stress eating, or…
  • Scale finally moved again... down 34!
  • just checkin in.. thanks for the updates.. keeping her in my prayers!
  • How truly terrible... sending another prayer...
  • Good One Dave.. I completely agree... I have to admit, before coming here and trying the 'old fashioned way' I was one of those people looking for the quick fix.. I tried Atkins, Protein Power, cabbage soup, low fat.. you name it.. some of them worked for a while, but I always gained the weight back.. and then some.. I…
  • As usual, great advice Kerri... THANKS! I have to absolutely agree, especially the part about how it TAKES TIME... how much time it takes is different for everyone.. just be patient.. I keep telling myself, what's the alternative? To give up and stay fat? That's crazy! :noway: Every day that goes by is just one day closer…
  • sorry I've been MIA... I was on vacation! :drinker: I'm holding steady at 32 (I think, I haven't dared to get on the scale yet from vacation  ) Thanks!
  • BUMPITY BOO....
  • I posted this on another thread, but it still applies! I am a ZUMBA fanatic... I started taking the classes at my gym in August... :drinker: Ok, I am NOT one of those girls that in college was always looking for a dance floor.. I was always kinda self conscious (unless there was a good bit of alcohol involved,…
  • my experience is you get what you pay for.. it's best to spend a little more and get a model with a chest strap and a wrist monitor that takes sex, weight, height, age, etc into consideration... I started out with a Polar F4 - got it off Ebay for about $65 I recently upgraded to the F6 b/c it has an encoded signal and most…
  • I have found I like it very much with some red grapes... pretty tasty... It's also pretty darn good with a spoon and a glass of red wine.. uh oh.. am I guilty of hijacking my own thread?
