Gods and Mortals: Eleven Novels Featuring Thor, Loki, Greek Gods, Native American Spirits, Vampires, Werewolves, & More Book 1 was Thor and was too fluffy, too far too long to read as it was not interesting. Book 2 was Loki and was a decent read. Book 3 is Lucifer and so far is alright. Not full books, more like long…

Back up to 280. Bike broke down, could not ride till it got fixed. How to you break 7 spokes at once??? Then pouring heavy rain for a week, could not ride. Got sick, could not do *kitten* for a week plus. Then went on vacation, which had loads of exercise. LOTS of walking for several days. 1 day at a water park, where I…

I stopped tracking and trying on June 1. Tired of no movement. Ate like a pig all month. Kept on with regular cycling though. Wanted to see some kind of movement. Up or down. And I did. Up about 2 pounds or so. I'm good with that considering what I have consumed. Now I can get at it next month.

Zilch again. Time to reevaluate my numbers. Counting calories and exercising g more has not done much.

I worked 14 hours yesterday. But unlike you that 14 was either sitting behind a desk or laying under a motorcycle. :/

Jumped on the scale today for *kitten* and wiggles. Zip. No change. Had a few bad days this month, several great days and many decent. Both with consumption and with expenditure. Had all sorts of bad *kitten* happen this weekend, woke up to more bad *kitten* and then see this *kitten* makes this one hell of a bad day. I…

April was a slack month, as expected. May is when life really ramps up restricting free time. Walked only 170km in April. Down from 240+ in March. Going to switch to cycling for May to save myself 40+ minutes a day. But hope to do 2 long rides a week of at least an extra 20-30 km each day. Cycling goal for May is at least…

Trade show season has returned. Next three days all walking I can do will be in a 3x12 space. :/
-
Ditto. Family walks and bike rides as much as possible.

I feel ya. My fingers are getting sore from tapping keys all day. What a work out... :D

Down 0. Not up, but not down either. Feels like a short month. Slack month for sure.

April is a "light" month for walking. Drove everywhere last 4 days due to rain. Finally back to walking today, feels like I was off for weeks. Glad to be walking again. Been fighting off (and winning) some form of sinus/lung infection for a couple weeks and walking helps clear me up. Did not just stop walking for 4 days.…

Dudes got loads of videos. Will check them out, thanks.

Weekend off. Prefer walking but it cannot happen. Need to be a mobile parent taking mini me's to various places for set times while still getting to work on time. Life happens. I have loads to do today, so will be very active, just no walking far.

Head cold plus allergies are making me a broken, beaten down zombie of a man. So much pressure in my head I steer clear of sharp objects. No more driving to work, just walking. The crisp windy walk helped clear my head a bit, even if I did walk like I was a drunk staggering through the streets. Not an uncommon sight at 9…

I am starting to think one of use does not know the meaning of post-retirement. Good lord I hope that one is you :)

March was a decent month. April, not so much. I did not commute to work at all in March, April just started and I have done it twice. Yesterday, the wife got me sick and I felt brutal all day. So I drove. Today, I drove again. Feeling better, but today I have items to transport that are WAY to big to carry in a backpack.…

Down 4 pounds in the last month. A little disappointing considering the amount of exercise, but all good. Any loss is better than a gain.
-
Nice! 40 yards per day seem like a lot. How many hours per day do you work in post-retirement?

Back to being tired in the morning. Woke up, hit snooze twice. Would have smashed it a third except I stepped on the dog and his howl woke me right up. 1/2 way through my walk I felt as though I could have closed my eyes and sleepwalked that last couple km. My fault, went to bed too late. Shin splint is 100% gone, blister…

Completely forgot it was the last Sunday. That said it was also Easter weekend and although I did not have any big feasts I did not eat as well as I could have. And water consumption was right around the zero mark for Friday-Sunday unless you count coffee. I know I lost a few pounds this months, but I won't do an official…

I wore motorcycle boots or work boots everyday from age 17 to 32. Never had an issue, but did not do too much regular walking. Had to switch to "office shoes" at some point after that for 8-12 hours a day. Took quite some time to get used to. Then over the last 3-4 years I switched to runners when not working or riding,…

Your step counts are very impressive. Obviously due to your career, but still great.

Seems pain likes me. Shin splint has mostly vanished, but new pain arises. On Wednesday I developed a hole in my sock at some point. On my walk home it created a ridge between my foot and shoe and gave me a large blister. Hurts like hell. Ignoring and walking anyway. Last year I walked a lot for a couple of months and…

Great work!

Lawn maintenance would be infinitely better than a lumber yard. Always behind a very loud machine, never moving out of a 10 foot area. Not allowed to listen to music as you had to listen to the machine for any issues. Only co-workers close enough to speak to were 15 feet away on the other side of the machine. And you had…

A lifetime ago I worked in lumber yards. Intense physical labour. A typical day (night shift) was taking 12" x 12" x 12' logs weighing a 2-300 pounds and ripping them down to a 2" x 4" x 12' studs on a single blade bandsaw. 10 hours a night. Mentally the job was crap. Bored out of my skull 40 hours a week. Physically I…

I agree on noticing the environment more. Sometimes too much. Urban environment, walking through what is typically known as a less than ideal area. Wish I did not see some of the *kitten* I see. Especially with warmer weather. Fresh smells of months old trash erupting from it's melting snow mounds where it had remained…
