Sizings are all over the place - I certainly agree. I am in Australia and there is some - but not much consistency in sizes. We are aligned to British sizes - which are two sizes bigger than US sizes. Between stores and brands there is considerable difference in sizes- within one size. I recently reached a size 14 here in…

I did the same thing years ago and the results came back normal and my GP said that I wasn't peri at the time. I was - and I knew that I was as everything was changing dramatically. I think the test coincided with my ovulation at that time so skewed the results as things continued to change and become more obviously peri…

Please add me to the list as I am due to have one the middle of this year. I have had two already and need to have them regularly for two reasons. 1) My dad died of colon cancer 2) I too have Crohn's disease which further increases my chances of developing bowel cancer. So far so good - not even a polyp- but I am due again…

Oh and I fully endorse buying a really good quality sports bra . I have managed to take up running and partake in any exercise I choose wearing a really good well fitted bra - and thankfully have not given myself any black eyes to date :)

What you have to realise with regard to cup size is that with each reduction in band size you actually drop a cup size . So simply put - as you decrease in band size you actually drop a cup size as well -so a 20E=18F=16G in actual cup size so as your band size reduces if you stay the same cup size your breasts are actually…

I was diagnosed with Crohn's disease in 2007. Currently in remission but obviously still taking meds etc. Are you active at the moment? Happy to be added as a friend if you want.

Thanks ever so much everyone for your ideas and responses to my question. I have checked out the links that people provided and based on my Doctor's advice and info online - plus of course your kind responses I have reviewed my weight loss goal somewhat and will probably try to lose just 3 or 4 more kilos then move on to…

I have no issues with body dysmorphia and realize that there is no set magic number - but what the doctor had to say has had an influence on making me realise that the I need to increase my goal weight -as I am closer to it than I had realised. I am just looking for a ball park goal weight from others who are 5.5 and have…

I had never been on antidepressants in my life prior to the death of my husband. I struggled along for ages without meds and was just falling deeper into a hole. My Doctor placed me on Lexapro initially in early April of last year and he gradually increased it over a couple of months . For me it was not the right drug- I…

That happened to me for a couple of years after reaching menopause- so weird. I would even get crampy pains when my period was meant to occur. I was in an office full of menopausal women - and they all experienced symptoms of their cycle - even though no period eventuated. I would never have imagined it. Makes sense…

Several people have asked if I can give some tips on how I have managed to lose the weight - so here goes! The biggest problem is that there is nothing much more than most people are doing here - except for perhaps my mindset. I am stubborn - always have been and when I set my mind to something I push and push until I…

Typing all in upper case = yelling.
-
Kelli - it might be nice if you treat people the way you would like to be treated. You can't demand that people be nice and not yell by starting your post by yelling at us- sorry, just a tip on how to treat others if you want them to respond positively to you.

I have eaten bread as I have wanted to within my calorie allowance and it certainly has not stopped me losing weight- and I continue to lose. This while idea of cutting out bread- as with other carbs is an alien concept to me. I personally like whole grain bread as it tends to keep me satisfied for longer- and I buy good…

Why the deadline if you truly want to make a life change? Unfortunately you have asked an almost impossible question because you have supplied no details. Are you active, how dedicated are you, what weight are you now, what height......... the list could go on and on. Perhaps if you provide more detail then people might be…

Just added my details - better late than never. Only found this Aussie group this morning

Falcon- south of Mandurah- which is an hours drive south of Perth, Western Australia. So nice to see an Aussie group:)

About an hours drive south of Perth, Western Australia- less than 200metres from the beach

Welcome- wow that is amazing loss within a short time. Perhaps not sustainable over the long term but I sure bet it gave a huge boost to your motivation.Good on you! Debbie

I have just stayed with what I started with at standard set up as it works for me. I might try tweaking things if I come to a halt and still need to lose weight. Debbie

I chose and still choose not to go on HRT but in saying that I have had friends who have gained so much of their lives back by going on HRT. I think if I ever felt that I was not managing I would have chosen to HRT. I did take phyto oestrogen supplements and tried yam creams and various other things but can't say I gained…

Yeah - I have to endorse what Mary and Karyn said - summer weather hasn't had a hugely negative influence on me. I live in Western Australia so I know what you are experiencing. My daughters actually gave me a small fan that sits in my bag - and I have several of them around the house. So funny really as I have a friend…

I haven't had a test - but have been very mindful of weight bearing exercises and keeping good quantities of dairy in my diet. I also take 1000 units of vitamin D a day as I tend not to spend too much time out in the sun.
-
Try to have low calorie munchies if you tend to get night time munchies- and see if you can create a calorie deficit that is completed in the evening to allow for a bit of eating. If I am inclined to eat I will sometimes have a cup of green tea and if that doesn't help I might have two squares of dark(70%) chocolate that I…

Good for you - it sounds like a great plan.

Not for me Mary- I actually have been on blood pressure meds for the last ten years - more as a migraine preventative than blood pressure as my BP was at the high end of normal. Since losing weight and increasing exercise my blood pressure dropped so low that I had to come off the meds. So many factors come into play here…

Ha- I am trying to convince myself that old is relative!!!!! So far it is working for me:)
