Sailor Scout/Senshi cosplays are such a staple for any convention, I think. Fun!!

Ohhhh I want to be Sheik too! Her Hyrule Warriors outfit is my favorite. She's beyond my crafting ability, though. Pics please! (Only if you want to post them!) I think if I ever cosplayed her I'd have to take yoga ahead of time so I could stretch into some semblance of her (simpler!) poses, lol.

My daughter is turning three and has cosplayed a ton, she's much more fun (and easier) to make costumes for. That's awesome it's a family event for you guys! My kid has been Perry the Platypus (as a tiny 4 month old!) an Ewok (chubby six month old), Happy from Fairy Tail (seven months), Pikachu (1 year old), Godzilla (1),…

I've done a few, Lucy from Fairy Tail just months after having a baby and that was a DISASTER. I had the top, the hair, accessories, but wore skinny jeans instead of the short skirt. Yes I was overweight, but the absolute HARASSMENT for being a chunky Lucy---it was excessive. Stuck to different conventions and brought my…

This is a great article that helped me understand "plateaus" http://www.aworkoutroutine.com/weight-loss-plateau-myth-muscle-weighs-more-than-fat/ and in kind, "starvation mode" http://www.aworkoutroutine.com/starvation-mode/ I don't completely agree with EVERYTHING in those articles, but they helped me make sense of…

I LOVE buffets. Love them so much--trying out new foods, having a few bites of each thing, eating until I'm going to pop. It's a sad day when you find out you're consuming 5000 in a sitting. I really enjoyed those meals, but they are gone. I can sympathize, my favorite thing is food! This will always be my battle, but the…

When my local Sprouts grocery stores releases its weekly ad each week, I look at the main things on sale. Pork chops on sale this week? Ok. Then I search Pinterest, google, my own recipes, (or if you have a pressure cooker, PressureCookerToday and such), my favorite food blogs for recipes that involve pork chops. I buy a…

It makes making rice a BREEZE. Also, most slow cooker recipes can be adapted to the pressure cooker. I've had mine a month and half and use it almost everyday, and I was very skeptical.

I have never much paid attention to fat, but here is what tastes good at Trader Joe's (in my opinion): Tomato Basil Hummus Alphabet Cookies Pickle Popcorn (Seasonal) Inner Peas Vegetable fried rice (has edamame in it, yum!) ---Absolutely not healthy, but I make room for it if I want it: Frozen Orange Chicken Belgian…

Ahhh! Those are my favorite! Where did you happen to find them? I missed out on them this year. Although, Oreo truffles (1 pack cream cheese plus one pack oreos, crushed/combined, chilled, dipped in white chocolate bark) are a very yummy but unhealthy alternative. ;)

If you are getting your nutrition and all your calories, it's totally fine. Doesn't matter when you eat. I eat a very small breakfast and lunch(~300cal) so I can have a big, satisfying dinner(1200cal). My doctor says it's OK but if I have headaches, dizziness, faintness, etc, then I need more calories during the day. So…

Dianne pretty much covered every aspect. I'd cut 100 calories, see if that makes things move, then cut more if still no progress (within reason, of course, don't go below your body's necessary calorie requirements). Good luck!

Ah, my condolences as well regarding your child. That's so hard. :( As for the bread aspect, I've been losing weight by eating what I want just within the portions allotted calorie count wise. It's easier for me to have lighter meals earlier in the day so I can have some "fun" foods in the evening with dinner. Good luck!!…

Oooo what endings (if any) have you gotten on Undertale thus far?

5'8. 190 was my highest weight after having my daughter 3 years ago. Down to 160 ish (recovering from a food frenzy vacation weight gain right now lol). I want to get back to 135, the weight I was in college. My body is proportioned super pear shape, so I wear size 12 pants with a belt, lol, they don't make many pants for…

I went to Disney last week, walked a TON and carried my daughter (~25 lbs) for a lot of it. Three days of Disney Vacation = 5 lbs gained. It's coming back off, and I don't entirely regret it, but if I had logged it I would've probably used more self control. But with hand dipped corn dogs, mickey mouse beignets, churros,…

I feel you, I have a special needs 3year old with a seizure disorder--I haven't had the recommended amount of sleep in years, either! I agree with how your body wants more fuel to compensate--but if you fight it, weight loss can still occur! On the other hand, lack of sleep can really screw you up when it comes to…

First of all, love the Undertale username/profile pic. Secondly, I have the same problem so I purposely eat only a little during the day (200 cals breakfast 200 at lunch or less) then I have 1000 to spend on dinner. More if I exercise. Weight has still steadily been coming off.:) Otherwise...when you need to stop eating…

Pressure cooker- Chicken noodle soup, garbanzo bean & chorizo soup, chicken and broccoli with rice, pulled pork, and a LOT of green beans so far. This is my first month with it, and I'm loving it so far! I get my recipes from pressure cooker today and hip pressure cooking. Man, I reeeeeally love my pressure cooker more…

I eat enough to fuel me(~100calories), have a little snack for lunch (~100), and then save about ~1000-1400 for dinner. I can't sleep without a full stomach, so this works for me. I don't feel hungry in the morning so I don't bother. As long as I am under my calorie limit, I've still been losing weight. I consulted my…

I have found that showing my husband my calorie log for the day shushes him about "not eating enough". I tell him that I am monitoring it closely, thank you for caring, but I am definitely on top of it. People don't like to feel guilty while making poor eating decisions. I mean, I get grumpy when people come to my birthday…

For my body, running (literally running) really makes the weight come off for me. I know the science is all dependent on calories you take in versus calories you spend--but this is the case for me. Heavy lifting does not burn as many calories as intense cardio, typically. HOWEVER you get more muscle from lifting/lose less…

If you don't LOVE peanut butter and jelly, try to skip it or REALLY skimp on the peanut butter. It's amazing--my husband can make a 800 calorie peanut butter and jelly (two slices grandma sycamore's bread, a big knife full of chunky peanut butter and a good dollop of strawberry preserves) and I can make a 400 calorie…

It counts. More than the veggies, I have to make sure to log/count if there was butter, was it cooked in oil, was salt or marinades involved, etc. A stirfry sauce can make it definitely not free.

Same! I've been eating just an english muffin with ham (clocking in around 160) in the morning to feel ok, a piece of fruit for lunch (large orange, apple etc ~100-200 calories) and then in the evening I get to spend ~1000 on dinner. It's been working really well for me, and I sleep so much better on a full stomach.…

This is awesome advice about the tiny steps. My daughter is the same way and we've been working on it for two years now (and she's only almost three). It started where she would refuse entirely, to eating and chewing it up--then spitting it out. Frustrating, but baby steps :) Is it the tough texture? The fibrous texture?…

I'm thinking it was this because yesterday was the first time I noticed how darn sweaty my socks were. Makes sense!

I struggle with extreme anxiety. What my therapist recommended was to find an activity other than eating that you can do to get you through the panic (or in your case, worry). Whether it's writing it down and then leaving it alone, talking to a friend on the phone, or in my case, Crocheting! Keeps my hands busy and my mind…

The blister thing just started now that I'm running "longer." (just barely made it to running 3 miles.) I'll take my shoes back to the running store to double check they fitted me with the ideal ones. I think some good running socks as well will seal the deal. I had no idea there was such a variety. Thank you!!

http://www.aworkoutroutine.com/weight-loss-plateau-myth-muscle-weighs-more-than-fat/ This is a great article about "plateaus". But like everyone else has said, it'll probably just drop off the longer you go at it rather than at a steady, mechanical rate. Good luck!
