I'm about to get back on the MFP "wagon" after about four months off it... I'll be re-starting on Sunday as I'm sitting a French language exam on Saturday. Also I have just discovered Blogilates on YouTube and will be following their workout calendar to add variety to my workouts. I'll also try and go swimming two or three…

Thanks all! My friends list is starting to look more populated which is always great for the accountability factor and for seeing how other people are doing! :)

Thank you! :D

Just joined today & def. in need of some motivating friends! Feel free to add me! :)

That's a really good question! It's a bit like the Chinese detox tea my ex-flatmate once got in Chinatown having been assured that it would not have a laxative effect only finding herself stuck in the office toilet every morning for half an hour... She gave up on the easy fix tea and added it to our medicine shelf instead…

I had a bottle of that years ago and never repurchased it...it just felt like a normal body moisturiser to me (and not even a particularly good one). I prefer Garnier body lotions - just normal ones to keep my skin hydrated. I don't think any lotion will really do hard-core skin tightening unfortunately! :\

Try Holland, Germany, anywhere in Scandinavia really ;) I'm 5.8/1.73 and I have never considered myself tall, more like average. I have always found that a quick shopping trip to the Netherlands is the fastest way to make myself feel short. Having said that living in England I have suddenly acquired "tall" status...…

That sounds like a plan! Added :)

Raining near Newcastle (England not Australia that is) - I'm all for finding new ways of creatively integrating chocolate (or gummibears) into my calorie goals/macros! I am sending you a friend request & anybody else feel free to add - the more the merrier! :)

Welcome to MFP! You have already made the first important step - rather than going into denial when confronted with the number on the scales you have made the decision to do something about it by joining MFP & by committing to a healthier lifestyle! I joined about a month ago and I'm finding the logging, the message boards…

I'm in the North East close to the Scottish border so feel free to add! Good luck with your project - you can do it!

I'm 5.8 and currently a UK size 18/20 (bit on the top heavy side...) and I'd be happy to go down to a size 12/14 which I used to be throughout most of my twenties up to my mid-thirties. In hindsight I actually looked slim at that size (live and blooming learn). P.S. the size 12/14 have to be in Topshop/Miss Selfridges…

For breakfast I like porridge with skimmed-milk and a sliced banana (I cook my porridge in the microwave so the banana is really nice and soft). I also like tinned peaches on my porridge but I add those after cooking. In terms of lunch what about adding pineapple slices on top of a chicken breast (and depending on calories…

Also check out Youtube for exercise videos. I like the BeFit Channel (https://www.youtube.com/user/BeFit) - they have a section with Yoga & Pilates videos so you could check different styles out before or instead of committing to purchasing a workout DVD. I also like Jessica Smith's channel. She has a section of…

Remember: You live in London - anything goes! (I'm writing this from the point of view of having lived in London for ten years or so during my twenties/thirties and also from the point of never having had drinks when going out because I just never liked the taste of alcohol). If you don't make an issue out of it, there is…

I think it really depends where you live! I'm 5.7 (and a half) and living in England I'm considered tall... however, when I go and visit family in Germany I'm back to being a very average height for a female (and most 13 year old girls are taller than me...). Am I bothered about this? Not really... and neither should you!…

Vegetable stir-fries, spinach soup, lentil soup, tomato soup, green beans or broccoli as a side dish. Japanese/vietnamese-style broth-based soups with chopped vegetables (peppers, mushrooms, leek, onions, bean sprouts etc.) with udon noodles. Slice tomoatos & chopped onions on German-style rye bread - this can also be…

If I had one weekend in Bavaria, I wouldn't waste the Sunday on the Oktoberfest (maybe go Friday afternoon'/evening instead) and rather focus on checking out the foothills of the Alps/the Alps (Voralpenland/Alpen) and maybe one or two of the bigger lakes. Lake-wise I'd go for Herrenchiemsee or Starnbergersee both a…
