  • Back in the late 90s, I was out of town on business and having a drink in the hotel bar. The news was on the television. An older (about 55-60ish) black man was sitting to my right. The news story mentioned something about an "African American" and the guy to my right just looked away and shook his head. He then looked at…
  • 1. Laptop 2. Breakfast plate that I haven't taken to the kitchen yet 3. Golden Retriever 4. "Programming in Python 3" book 5. DVR remote (almost time for P90X Yoga)
  • Absolutely. We may never see them in our lifetime, but to think that we're the only time life has happened in an endless universe is foolish. There's just gotta be something else out there somewhere.
  • I'm not into football at all. In fact, I'd rather watch a cooking show or "What Not to Wear" (which I find hilarious). In fact, during football season, I schedule my shopping trips during Steelers games because I know I'll have the place pretty much to myself. :)
  • ...I just completed my 6th-straight day of P90X. And after starting and quitting several times in the past, that's pretty sweet. Only 84 more days to go. :)
  • When I started losing weight, I made the switch from beer to Captain & Diet. Granted, I don't drink all that much, but every little bit counts. And whereas my Yuengling has 135 calories (even a Coors Light has 104), a C&D has only 50. http://www.beer100.com/beercalories.htm Have a great time tonight! Think I'll pour myself…
  • If anyone wants to view my diary, please feel free to add me. Admittedly, I don't keep regular (or even semi-regular) contact with many of my fellow MFPers, but if you'd like to have a look at what I'm doing, I'm more than happy to make it available to you.
  • I usually do pre-log. It allows me to see what my whole day would look like so I can make adjustments beforehand. For example, if my sodium is too high, I'll look and see what I can lose or change to get it down to where I'd like it to be.
  • Eating out of sheer boredom has always been one of my biggest downfalls. Nothing to do? Send out for a pizza! :) Lately, I've just made myself do something else. Anything. Doesn't matter what...just ANYTHING. Go outside and throw tennis balls for my dog. Better yet, take my dog for a walk. Play Wii (I loves me some Mario…
  • Brandi: LOVE the "awesomeness" t-shirt pic. The one in the blue top is pretty great, too.
  • Chocolate chip cookies. I just can't say "no" to a chocolate chip cookie.
  • I'm DEFINITELY a boob guy, but honestly couldn't care less about size. As long as there are two of them and they're within arm's reach, I'm a happy guy. Besides, BOYS care about size. MEN don't. Sounds to me like you need to look for a new guy. If he's not happy with something about you that's so irrelevant, you deserve…
  • I weigh myself every day for one simple reason: A person's weight can fluctuate by a couple of pounds a day, and I'd hate to weigh myself just once a week, have it be one of those "fluctuating" days, and not have a true idea of where I am. By weighing myself every day, have a more accurate picture of where I am. Those…
  • First: Kool and the Gang after a Pirates game at Three Rivers Stadium. Last: Daugtry after a Pirates game at PNC Park. Next: Styx after the Pirates game this Saturday at PNC Park. (Noticing a theme here?)
  • Congrats! VERY noticeable difference. Especially in your face.
  • I had plantar fasciitis about 15 years ago, and I had it BAD. For weeks, I had to take baby steps around the house in the morning until my feet loosened up enough for me to talk normally. And even then, it still hurt. The best advice I got was to roll my feet over tennis balls (or cans of food, or anything that's round or…
  • For the Love of the Bacon (Game).
  • Does anyone ever actually say "no" on these things? Just curious... BTW, Coach is Saaaaaaa-MOKIN'!!! ;)
  • Yeah, this will probably be the winner. And for only $1.60, I'll go for the full version to make sure I get all the features. I see that RunDouble has a five-minute warm-up before the run begins. I'd like to disable that, if possible. Thanks to everyone for their input!
  • Because I don't always known where that turnaround point will be. If I run somewhere I've run before, I'll know that, but for my first time out in a new spot, I'd like the app to tell me when I get to that halfway point. That'd be ideal. I'll give Endomondo a shot. Thanks very much! :)
  • Installed this. It doesn't do what I asked. You can selected a pre-set distance, but you can't enter whatever you want.
  • MapMyRun will give you alerts for every mile, if you choose, but only whole miles. I'm looking for something that will let me choose something like 1.55 miles (half of a 5K run) for the alert so I know when to turn and head back. MapMyRun won't do that.
  • I had plantar fasciitis VERY bad about 15 years ago. The thing that seemed to help me the most was to roll my foot over a tennis ball. Apply a little pressure, but not too much (do it and you'll feel what's right for you). It helped to loosen things up and really took the pain away. Highly recommended.
  • Sitting on my living room floor, trying to decide what's more annoying: the pain from the sunburn all over my shoulders and chest, or the itching from the poison ivy all over my legs.
  • Just checked it out. Very nice! I definitely have to give it up to people like that. Those who are just starting out, those who may be a bit heavier than those who have obviously spent a lotta time in the gym already, etc. All the credit in the world. :)
  • Easy: Date: Zooey, because she seems unbelievably fun. Marry: Olivia, because she may be the most gorgeous woman alive. Dump: Emily, because I have no clue who she is. :) Here's one: my top three most gorgeous women alive: Mila Kunis, Kristin Bell, Rachel McAdams
  • The main one. Blue shirt and glasses.
  • One Burgher, hold the hair, coming right up!
  • I think the answer should be "Shaved heads and Golden Retrievers."
