Congrats everyone on an awesome October challenge. This was a great group. Thanks to everyone for the support. I'll be shifting my focus over the next few months to weight training (for toning & strength) and the Stairmaster (for cardio and to train for a Lung Assoc. stair climbing fundraiser/challenge.) Good luck to you…

Yep, I asked a friend (who is a serious cyclist) about the rollers and he mentioned the door frame trick. I'm sure like most things, the rollers can be mastered with practice. I saw a YT video of a woman using the rollers hands-free - very impressive. But I'll stick to the stationary bike this winter. :)

Excellent! I'm new to the group but welcome. :D

Thanks!

Hi ladies, I'm in the same boat. A dropped 20 pounds using MFP around this time last year. But got off track and gained most of it back. I'm recommitted and feeling clear about my plan of attack. I'm going back to what has worked in the past (planning, prep and consistency.) I'd be happy to add any and all of you as…

Did mostly hill work and flat intervals in spin class today. Great workout but clocked fewer miles than I typically get in spin classes. Made up for it with some individual bike work after class. My legs are beat after doing this and a lower body workout yesterday. Resting tomorrow. Keep up the great work everyone. 10/1 -…

I've grown find of my neck so I don't reckon I'll be trying the roller any time soon. :)

Hmmm.... I can't say I've noticed more of a reduction in my hip size vs. other areas. I'm sure you've heard/read that there's no real way to spot-reduce. That said, I have lost weight using spinning and cycling as my primary form of cardio (by helping me create a daily calorie deficit.) Lose enough weight (and incorporate…

I should have known something was amiss when I saw the air mattress next to the bike in the video still shot. Yikes! But it seems like the rollers could be a lot of fun "if" you could master it before breaking your neck.

Off to a good start: 10/1 - 21.8 miles (stationary/spin bike) Btw, I had never seen a roller trainer before - coolest invention ever! :)

party :-)

I was looking for a 100 day challenge. A little late to the part but count me in!

Count me in! I'll be doing mostly indoor riding - Spin classes and individual bike sessions. No specific mile goal as I'm trying to mix up the cardio sessions to keep things interesting. But I'll post my stats periodically. Happy riding everyone! :)

Thanks for sharing your thoughts everyone. Here's my take: Old You = Old way of BEing, thinking, feeling. These are the thoughts, feelings, beliefs and actions that created our current state. New You = Those New ways of thinking, being, feeling and acting that will create the change we are seeking. I'm totally in agreement…

I like doing morning cardio before eating too. Have you tried a green drink? I'll usually drink one on the way to and during the 1st half of Spin class, then I switch to my water. The drink is mostly water with a half scoop of a Green Veggie Powder and a little unsweetened apple juice for taste. It seems to give me an…
