  • I buy him snacks that I don't like, and I don't let him bring junk into the house. My first week on here, he brought me a king sized snickers and a funnel cake. We sat down and talked about it. He recently quit dipping (chewing tobacco), so I tried to explain it in terms he could relate to. I asked him how he would feel if…

  • I check the store circular and stock up when stuff goes on sale. My grocery store had a 50% off sale on chicken breasts recently, so I bought a ton and froze them. You can also buy large bags of dry beans and brown rice; they are much cheaper than the canned/prepackaged kinds. If you have a farmers market in your area,…
  • Fruits, veggies, fat free greek yogurt, extra lean ground turkey, boneless skinless chicken breasts, low sodium lunchmeats. Edit: I like to mix sugar free jello powder into my Fage 0% greek yogurt...it's super yummy and satisfies my sweet tooth!
  • If you can, try running on grass rather than pavement. It's less impact on the knees.
  • Add!!!
  • I was just talking about these with my physical therapist yesterday! She said that they are only effective when combined with resistance training....like, doing resistance exercises on the areas you're using the machine on while you're using it. I have knee problems and they used one on my thigh while I was doing leg lifts…
  • My brother-in-law and his wife are CONSTANTLY asking my husband and I for money. We drive crappy old cars; they drive a BMW and a pimped out truck. I clip coupons and only buy new clothes when they are on sale; they live life like they are starring in a rap video - partying and shopping 24/7. She was recently awarded…

  • Is there a Costco or Sam's Club in your area? Buying in bulk can save you a ton of money. If not, try buying large bags of dry beans and brown rice at your regular grocery store. They're way less expensive than the canned/frozen/prepackaged kinds. If you have a farmer's market in the area, check it out! Seasonal produce is…

  • It's probably swollen and that's why you keep biting it! Have you tried Orajel to numb the area?
  • Maybe try cutting your sodium? Even though MFP has it set at 2500mg, I think the FDA guidance is 1500mg. I know for me sodium is way more difficult to cut than calories, but I've noticed that when I eat more sodium, my weight goes up a couple of lbs.
  • Def dress one - it's super flattering on you! The shoes are a little off though - black or nude heels might be a better match :flowerforyou:

  • I buy the big containers of Fage 0% greek yogurt and low fat cottage cheese and just portion it out into single servings. Always check the price per ounce on food at the grocery store - it's usually cheaper to buy bigger containers, even sometimes when the smaller containers are on sale. Always check store circulars (there…
  • Go to Ulta or Sephora and get a free makeover. Not only did they help me pick out some bold colors I wouldn't have thought to try on my own, but they also showed me how to apply it!

  • Easy bake oven!!! Best toy ever
  • A lot of fairs have grilled ears of corn....yum!
  • My coworkers are all men at least 10 years older than me. I get skeevy comments all of the time, like "you better not lose any more weight because I don't want you to lose your curves". So gross. They also try to make me eat candy and junk food. Someone brought in a 5lb bag of peanut M&Ms and I said that I didn't want any,…
  • Go Navy Beat Army!
  • Do you make your own coffee? I'm a big tea drinker, and I always measure out and add all of the components separately. That way there's less room for error
  • I like your "owlfit" (outfit)
  • I buy GINORMOUS containers of fruits and veggies, because then I feel obligated to eat it before it goes bad. If you have a big freezer, buy chicken breasts and freeze them. Costco is also great for fueling my gum addiction  Edit: And chew gum while you shop! Otherwise the free samples of cheesecake, orange glazed…
  • Realizing that I have no pictures with my husband or family! The only pictures I have from the past couple of years are me hiding behind a person, pet, plant, blanket, etc. I want to be able to take pictures and capture memories without having to hide behind something!
  • I go to the salon for my highlights. I had a friend who BEGGED me to help her use a highlighting kit in her hair....yeah she definately ended up with cheetah-spots. It was baaaad. If I'm that terrible when I can see what I'm doing, there's no way I'm going to risk coloring my own hair!
  • Fresh Einstein's bagels with cream cheese. 3-4 in a sitting. Betty Crocker Funfetti icing by the spoonful. When I was a kid, my dad would always give my skinny minny mom a hard time for eating anything unhealthy, so she would hide candy around the house and only eat it when he wasn't looking. My sister and I both kind of…
  • I make my own burgers using ground bison and sarah lee 80-cal wheat buns. If I really really want fast food from a specific place (like Five Guys....drool), I'll get it. Instead of getting a Bacon Cheeseburger and large fries, I'll get a small hamburger and split a regular fries with the hubby. It still adds up to over…
