No. Ut stalls becayse you are either not being patient or you arent at deficit.

Excluding a warm up, then weights first because you are pushing your limits more. I dont want to be lifting heavy things when im already worn out.

He has a point, which is to empower yourself by choosing not to let it get to you. Maybe write down how you will deal with the next time someone is mean or rude to you and then follow the strategy when it happens. Its just an internet person and should bever be enough to derail you. Keep focused on what you have to do.

Awesome thread. Whats your point?
-
Its a public forum and tbh some people dont think just as others never listen. Perhaps the person was just being to the point and trying to be helpful. Quick calories are often a sign of poor logging. One persons mean is another persons honest to the point. Its much less common for people to send pms rather than post on a…

Exercise is awesome. It can be tough going, but it cna also be a great mood lifter and confidence builder. Lol@ the idea 30 is old, bit too much drama. If you accept obesity (tbh its pretty nice eating without limit), then you are also making a decision to shorten both the length and quality of life. Theres no need to.

I was and wasnt shcoked about Noodles. I dont find them that filling, so kind of stopped. If I do noodles these days its more of a treat and its egg, wheat or rice. They are much nicer.

I really think some of them stick put like sore thumbs as to be more likely to fail as they display common traits. In contrasts I'd put money on the ones who show other traits, such as knowing what they are doing and giving you an incling they have a measure realistic patient approach.

+100 You are not eating 1200, but much more than you think. FACT.
-
Its an interesting question. Id say if I was placing bets then its quite easy to spot ones who I think will fail and ones who will do make target. In terms on the this is the final time I mean business posts then i always ask why they didnt do it before and why this time will be different.
-
Perhaps I just filter all that out as background noise. One of the reasons is because peoples priorities are on hitting their target mixed in with I can eat anything I like message. Peoples lack of knowledge tends to be high on most forums.
-
Its a commonish topic. Wear baggy clothes or just smile and say thanks, but really its more about you than them. Some people get mad because people dont notice. In general people are complimentary and admiring of anyone who loses weight. Its not as though they didnt realise before that you weighed more, so enjoy it, but…

Im on the forums a lot and cant say I ever see this. So the OP is referring to another thread? I am fortunate to have missed it. In terms of controlling calories and being within a limit then all things being equal lower calories is better. That would mean you get the same benefits such as nutrition, taste etc for fewer…

MFP only calculates calories based on what you tell it. It will have based its 1200 on the fact you told it you wished to lose x a week, but if you told it you wanted to lose a little more slowly, say 1lb aweek instead of 1.5, then it would come out at 1450 rather than 1200. Theres a big difference in manageability between…

I think the walk is more than 300 considering the OP weighs 290. You cna probably lose 2lb a week OP, but to do that you need to be creating a daily deficit of 1000. The less you weigh the harder this gets. Keep things accurate and adjust as needed.
-
Walking has a great rep on here, ive never seen it slates at all and is the go to starting exercise. +1 to the listen to your body. You are walking a lot. Other people arent in your body nor are they doing the regime you are doing. If you find you are really fatigued then take a rest, if you feel fine, then carry on.
-
Targets should be realistic otherwise they end up frustrating and cause people to feel like failures when they arent met. Weight loss isnt linear nor will you get immediate results, you need to learn patience and accept things take time. Its the trend you are looking for and not the results of any one day. Learn how weight…
-
You just need to improve your knowledge and get the basics right. All weight loss occurs because you are at deficit. Eat what you like, just less of it so you are at deficit. Its that simple. You will probably want to learn a bit about nutrition as well, but for weight loss its all about the deficit.…
-
The other method you cna use, its just break it up by taking short breaks, so 5 minutes, rest, 5 minutes rest etc. Fitness gains can be quite fast in the first month, so keep a record.
-
Have a look on the introducing yourself section as theres a very long thread with people from the UK looking for friends.
-
Its just a math thing. Decide how you are going to create your deficit either by eating less(which you cnat seem to manage) or burn more, which means exercise.
-
personal choice but id make a serious attempt at calorie counting and lose the weight without surgery, A deficit is all you need. A gastric band is not guaranteed success.
-
Its 10 minutes more than being sat on the couch. ASccept where you are in terms of fitness and keep it up, then you will improve and be able to do more.
-
Its feasible but not guaranteed. It requires you to be accurate with your deficits. Id split it into monthly phases and keep adjusting if the 3 month overall traget is important and not something you just whipped up. Much better than your original.
-
If you are around 5'5" then your maintenance is just over 1700 calories. that the level at which you neither gain or lose if you eat that much. Eating at 1200 is quite tough and the minimum. That would put you on course for a 1lb a week weight loss. If 13 weeks is an optimistic 13lbs, then you would only make it to a…

No, unless they were in imminent danger of injury. Even then its the way that you do it.
-
Get the personal trainer to design you a routine that you can do by yourself on other days. Knowing what you are doing on a particular day as well as keeping progress records is motivating.
-
I thought abouit that, but you have the other issue of her finding 1700 hard and difficult to sustain. Its the curse of the shortie.
-
HRMs are for heart rates really. They have flaws when used as calorie counters. OP you don't provide much information and its only 100 calories, err on the side of caution and put 100, then adjust as needed. Brian is correct.

There are always plenty of lifters in the gym compared to cardio peeps in the later evening. Past 9pm. Do whatw works for you. Im not a morning person, but id love to just get it out of the way sometimes. I appreciate my gym for being 24 hours and close by, because I can just keep going back.
