People can be mean, like others have said they're just jealous and if they can't be happy for you then you're better off without them. Congratulations and I wish you all the best in the future.

Looking good well done so far.

Hi glad to see you're still pushing on it is a good thread to keep in touch with others so thanks for starting it and giving everyone a platform to update on where they are and how they're doing, it's definitely important to have that and helps me realise I'm not alone in this battle. It must be difficult with your husband…

Glad to see you back on track @mekflari and nice to see you're still pushing play @oykumceren @syedab298 I'm not sure if I was going from no exercise straight into insanity I could stick at it, sure the commercials have all of us thinking WOW! I want to look like that when in reality the people in the workouts are…

Agree small changes are the key, slowly slowly etc I have to say to you and the others doing insanity in this thread or that have done in the past have my admiration because this is the toughest thing fitness wise I have ever done. I hope we can all help and motivate each other to reach the end, certainly thinking about…

You may want to think about cycle commuting to and from work if it's doable, a great way to fit cycling into your everday routine and saving money if you use a car or public transport.

Thanks, found it really tough this evening, literally had no energy And struggled throughout. I'm going to try doing the workout a little later from now on because coming in straight from work after my cycle commute and giving myself half hour then starting insanity is killing my legs. I noticed you are concerned about…

That was a really lovely read, you're an absolutely awesome person :flowerforyou:

@lizzielemon14 I do the recovery stuff a good way to give those muscles a good stretch, I think in month 2 there is an option to do a different workout. I'm guessing you're thinking I'm not going to burn many calories doing the recovery workout and that's probably true, if you want to fit something else extra in then I…

I nearly packed in after 3 days due to the soreness but remembered reading here to push through it and that information proved correct. The tightness in my legs had disappeared once I'd got through the warm-up and stretches. If the pains are different to that like what mekflari has experienced then I would stop. As for a…

Take small steps at first don't try to change everthing at once, I'd definately start with diet you can still be a foodie just a healthier one. Set your goals small when it comes to dropping the weight, have a milestone every 5 or so lbs. Take this opportunity now by the scruff of the neck and go for it, its going to make…

I'd recommend hasfit, search for the channel on youtube, a brilliant free resource for all sorts of workouts especially abs stuff.

@bellamia yes it is really tough on the joints, I had done the fitness test 3 months before starting for real so knew this was really going to be hard especially on the knees. I went out prior to starting and brought a thick exercise mat which I have ready to slide out when jumping jacks or similar come up. I know month 2…

Seconded, keeping this thread updated is a good motivator. Will be watching, good luck!

I also cycle to work (25 mile roundtrip) currently just finished day 19. I've found I can keep pushing through now a lot more, those days in the beginning were really tough but I seem to be reaping the rewards and feel fitter than ever. I've even started to miss it on rest days lol - I must be going insane
-
Well done so far, day 44 seems a long way of for me  Still day 19 done so nearly at the three week mark! I'm going to use this thread as my check in everyday from now on.

By going on what you have written you are no doubt going to be successful and meet your goal.
-
A lot of people have told me in the past 'you can't do that'. Gradually I've found out I damn well CAN and will, just dig deeper and find the strength from within.
-
You've done an amazing job so far.
-
I almost feel sorry for the drunk now...... I said almost lol OP this is for you :flowerforyou:
-
I had problems with the warm ups in the beginning but manage to push through them now, legs where killing me for the first few days even though I'm used to cycling 125 miles a week it was brutal. Day 18 done
-
Looking fantastic, keep it up and you'll be at your goal in no time.
-
Apart from the obvious changes your eyes are sparkling in the after pic, fantastic job.

Wełcome to the world of cycling, some great advice from other members here. One thing I will say if you've been out on your bike for 3 hours then I'd expect your bum will be sore. See how you get on the aches may disappear after a week or two. Happy cycling!
-
Fantastic achievement.
-
Is everybody still going strong? Day 17 here pure cardio and cardio abs done and dusted. Kepp digging deeper ya'll

The story of the ugly duckling springs to my mind, just imagine bumping into one of those girls 3-4 months from now after going to the gym regularly. They'd be ‘WOW is that really her!' Just do it!

Like a couple of posters said get insanity, you'll cry and sweat buckets and probably call Shaun T a lot of names but it'll be worth it. :-)

I used to hate drinking water but have gradually worked it into my daily routine, I always carry a bottle around and find by doing this you can get through quite a bit without even really thinking about it. The large sports bottles are best just fill it up, fridge it and grab in the morning. I've got a couple more in the…
