  • Melbourne here! Feel free to add me :)
  • I've always wondered, why can't people just say "I've got my period" rather than all this Aunt Flo and TOM stuff? It's 2013, ladies, we can talk about our bodies. And yes, when I'm menstruating, I will still work out. Sometimes I'll whine about it, and I may not put in as much effort, but after having nearly 200 periods, I…
  • Wow, Silveronthetree has summed it up! I'm an Aussie, I went to NZ over the Christmas/New Year break, and I have to say, it's a lovely place to visit, I hope you have a great day. I couldn't believe how friendly everyone was! The seafood was amazing - so fresh! We found it pretty easy to eat well, and when we indulged, we…
  • Rest up - your body probably needs it. I will go to the gym if I'm having asthma and take it easy, but if I have a cold, I'll rest at home, and go for a walk if I feel like I need an airing! Hope you feel better soon!
  • Well, I've just had breakfast (hello from tomorrow, everyone), but dinner tonight I'm thinking poached chicken with steamed veggies and some sweet potato mash. It's my go to meal for when I don't know what to cook!
  • I tend to go for braised chicken with cashew nuts - normally has a decent amount of veggies in it, and isn't deep fried. Soup is also good :)
  • Agree with what everyone else says! It's a lot of delicious calories! There are a lot of indian foods already logged, so just have a look at what's there already.
  • I only take house keys and my ipod - my nano goes in an armband which has a pocket for my house keys, so it's easy. I can't take my phone because it's too large - Samsung SIII - I think it's ridiculously large. Sometimes I'll wear my garmin forerunner watch so I can see how far / how fast I'm going, but not too fussed by…
  • I always struggled with limiting my alcohol intake, and would make sure I had enough calories left for a glass or two of wine. After one too many a boozy night, I realised that I really need to learn to cope without so much wine in my life. This year, I've pretty much given up the booze - since getting back from my holiday…
  • My husband had to go away for two weeks recently to see his family. I'm not a huge fan of coming home to an empty house, so I spent most nights out walking my dog, or at the gym, or doing 30 day shred - I pretty much didn't spend any time on the couch. I planned my meals, took lunch to work (which I normally never do, it's…
  • If there's something specific you want to try, or a goal you want to work towards, use google and youtube - you can find a lot of instructional videos and webpages to help you.
  • Oh yeh, I forgot to write in my previous post, I love the sleep tracker! It really made me realise how often I was going to bed early, and it helps me focus on getting enough sleep :)
  • I love my fitbit. I used to have a fitbit ultra, but I lost it, and now I have a fitbit one, and it's great. When I started using it, I was doing an average of 5,000 steps per day, and I really struggled to reach my daily goal of 10,000. From the pretty graphs, I could see that I spent most of my time inactive, and have…
  • Hey everyone! I have 50kgs to lose in total - starting from 120 kg and aiming for 70 kg. I've lost 8 kgs so far, and I'm really hoping to be at my goal by December of this year - I turn 30 and I want to start the next decade of my life in a healthy place! Feel free to add me as a friend, I have an open diary and love the…
  • I have workout pants from kmart which are ok, and I have some Nike workout pants, which I like. Really depends on your budget. I think Lorna Jane is ridiculously overpriced. I mean, they're just exercise clothes, it's not a fashion statement. I tend to spend my exercise money on shoes and sports bras, because that's what…
  • Sumo salad is generally under $10, and under 500 calories. Otherwise, I tend to get a healthy sandwich made.
  • I tried it last year, and I did 3 days of it and enjoyed it. My asthma got bad so I had to stop exercising for a bit. I'm probably going to start doing it again soon, just easing myself into exercising. I hope you enjoy it :)
  • WOW you've had great results - well done!
  • I did find it harder. I think because this is my first week back at exercise since mid December. Hopefully it gets easier. I was up to the end of week 3 of C25K in December and had no problem with 3 minute jogs, so it's hard to admit that I have trouble with 60 sec jogs!! I'm not running outside on the hot days, I'll just…
  • I started on Sunday 13th and did my W1D2 yesterday. I'm finding it hard!!! But I'm managing it :)
  • Wow, that's a lot of fruit each day. I try to limit fruit to 1-2 pieces per day, because of the fructose levels. At the start, I weighed everything I ate, until I had a good idea of a standard serving. Now, I'm much better at estimating, and only weigh things occasionally. You'll get the hang of it :)
  • I started yesterday. I did 3 weeks of C25K last year before hurting my ankle, I'm determined to get through it this time :) Feel free to add me
  • I used to have a fitbit ultra, but I lost it a few months ago. Yesterday I bought myself the fitbit one, and I'm liking it so far. Feel free to friend me on MFP and fitbit, I could use the healthy competition! My stats: 1,540,685 steps 2,654 floors 1,212.44 km http://www.fitbit.com/user/22QCCR
  • Wow, you all look great! Way to go!
  • TOO HOT! It's going to be 38 C / 100F today. I'm having a rest day.
  • What allergies do you have? I'm lactose and fructose intolerant with a few other mild food allergies and I'm really struggling to eat unless I'm at home
  • hahaha that's an awesome term! Goodluck with it :)
  • There is an "Aussie, Aussie, Aussie" group, but there doesn't seem to be a huge amount of activity on it http://www.myfitnesspal.com/groups/home/240-aussie-aussie-aussie I'm Mel, from Melbourne, happy for new friends, both Aussie and abroad. Except for you, Sarah, coz you're already my friend :p
  • SW: 113.2 kg Christmas GW: 105 kg, but I'll be happy to get below 110 Day 1: Walk the dog for (at least) 30 minutes each day> Failed, heavy rain in the AM, left work late and had pilates :( 30 Day shred 5 days a week> Pass!
