  • I'd go with anything Tiesto or Paul Van *kitten*....keeps me going through my workouts, just pick the ones on itunes that have the most popularity, you'll recognize them!
  • I'm not sure about depo, but other, newer forms of bc are usually pretty low in estrogen. They should not affect weight gain at all. A lot of times people gain weight for other reasons while on bc, or maybe it's a mental thing. This comes from my sister who is a ob/gyn, there really isn't much medical reason to gain while…
  • fetuccini alfredo
  • I love spin classes! I do find that other classes at the gym are harder, ie the one that kicked my butt this morning was more of step at a ridiculous intensity and then weights after, I wished I would have done spin instead. I like the simplicity of the bike, and it is a great calorie burn, just mix it up with other things…
  • I am considering a clease over my holiday break...i don't have to work for almost 2.5 weeks, so I would have the time...I've had a lot of gi issues and could use a reset button. But I will do that only after staying on this plan religiously...maybe...not sure if I have the will power for that, although I am good at setting…
  • Running is VERY mental, nice work!!!
  • my sister is an ob in wisconsin and tells a lot of her patients about the site..it's a great resource and FREE!!!
  • If you cannot see a doctor, I'd stick to a bmi chart...if you want to get down to 145 and still be in a normal weight range, then go for it.
  • a margarine soak?????? Eewww! I've never heard of such a thing! Thanks for the heads up, that's disgusting!
  • That's confusing to me because it seems like y ou would be at a really similar calorie deficit regardless of the plan. On the 1230 plan you are eating less calories and exercising less, while on the 14-1500 calorie a day plan you are eating more but working out a little more.....I'm not sure which is going to solve your…
  • Isn't it amazing to accomplish something you never thought possible? Congratulations! We all have the power to do it, it's just some people have to hit their bottom to find out and make a change, and that bottom is so different for each of us.
  • I think people go back and forth a lot on that.....who knows what to believe.
  • I was teaching summer school with 1st graders, one of our sight words was 'thick.' One of the little girls said, "thick, like my teacher's thick?" I could've died right there. I was going home completely exhausted at 12 noon, something had to give!
  • I smoke too, you'd think that I would have quit by now as I am working on my second marathon here....I don't consider myself a runner, even though I've done 4 1/2 marathons, one whole, and so many races I cannot keep count.....I feel like a hippocrite.....I want to quit smoking.
  • A calorie is a calorie no matter when you eat it within a 24 hour period. The only drawback from eating late is that it may keep you awake, other than that, it's really an old wives' tale.
  • If you've lost 115 pounds using the weights, among other things I'm sure, I say keep on keepin on....EXCELLENT work! I've never heard anything bad about it....as long as they don't make you fall over a lot, which it doesn't seem like it does. With anything that has to do with weight loss or fitness, someone will usually…
  • Learn to like water and make time for exercise, join a gym with childcare!
  • I order eggs benedict all the time! Just get the hollandaise on the side, nix the cokes and get fruit like the above poster said. Total calories without the hollandaise = 350 <90 (2 slices of canadian bacon), 120 (english muffin), 140 (2 poached eggs)>
  • I'm finding a comment that still haunts me from my childhood....mediocre.. My sister used to tell me that I'll never be more than mediocre...she must've learned a new word at school or something and it has haunted me ever since. I hear it in my head often throughout the day when I'm not super busy, but having a slower type…
  • BUY THAT SEASONING!! It tastes good on EVERYTHING!!!

  • I would just modify it. Take out half of the stuffing (pork) and toss it. Also, nix the olives as that is probably where a lot of the sodium comes from, also nix the cheese. Fill it up with extra veggies like lettuce and tomato if you can.
  • After doing a little research online, I think the biggest reason alcohol can sabotage weight loss is because drinking and overeating (usually bad bar food) go hand in hand. I think though that if you allow it in your calories it's okay, just as long as it doesn't kill you motivation with the whole food side of the…

  • I'm a big bean fan, unfortunate for my husband though...whatever!!!! They're good for us!
  • Yes, I am making generalizations here. That's because I see the culture of those who cannot stop denying themselves when it comes to food. Sure, YOU may exercise for 1000-2000 calories per day, but do most people here? No. They can barely get any exercise in THUS that is why they are here. And if you look at people's sign…
  • Definitely go with the shrimp cocktail, then I'd get a salad, dressing on the side. Go with a smaller filet 6oz, but maybe save some for later. Also the steamed asparagus, no hollandaise. I'm sure they have a baked potato you could get plain, put a touch of sour cream on that with salt and pepper, it only adds 50 cals.…
  • Love Saucony, they are great if you like/need a lot of cushion...like me..hehehe. I think they are better for the runner who is still in progress with their weight loss :)
  • I agree, you should be okay, they aren't parasitic.....right? Like, they don't need a host to survive like tapeworms or other symbiotic critters.... Edit-wikianswers says they are high in protein!! But it's not like we live in the bush and need to rely on bugs for protein sources, I'd be completely grossed out too, I think…
  • Honestly, I think people are afraid to not eat them because they feel like they have earned them. They are afraid to be told not to eat them because that means they have to eat less. So if everyone convinces themselves that eating them all is a good thing, then this lifestyle change isn't really that difficult because you…
  • Can you hear how loud I'm sighing? I guess the consensus is that we all have to do what is best for our individual body, I like the idea of not eating exercise cals as I have hit a plateau....I'm going to try it. Why keep doing the same thing to get lacklustre results?
  • Love how you start smiling a bit more as the pics progress!!! Keep it up!
