  • My go-to weekday lunch is a Morning Star black bean burger on a deli flat and a stick of colby jack cheese for 310 calories.
  • I'm looking for friends, too. I've been on here a while but only have a couple. Add me if you would like.
  • Welcome! I had a hard time with the concept of measuring and weighing my food at first but I've lost more weight using this tool along with exercise over just exercise without tracking my food. A food scale definitely comes in handy for weighing things like meat. Good luck!
  • Ah, 40, the turning point. Something happens to many of us around that age and we stop being able to eat anything we want and skip exercising. Sounds like it is time to modify the diet a bit (huh, I know a great website that will help you track your calories...) and schedule more exercise. Good luck!
  • As everyone else has said, in moderation it's good for you. We get our pb at a co-op store where they have a grinder in the bulk foods that grinds peanuts into pb. Nothing added, just peanuts and it's great. The Jif, Skippy, etc all have added junk that you just don't need.
  • Woo-hoo! Way to go! You should be so proud of yourself.
  • My suggestions: Dennis Lehane's series about a couple of detectives in Boston plus 'Shutter Island' and 'Mystic River' Bryan Gruley: 'Starvation Lake' and 'The Hanging Tree' Guillermo Del Toro and Chuck Hogan: 'The Strain', 'The Fall' and 'Eternal Night' comes out this fall John Twelve Hawks:' The Traveler', 'The Dark…
  • Woo! 200 jumping jacks! Didn't sound too bad but had to break it up into 50 rep chunks with a couple of minutes between each. Made me realize I need a new sports bra!
  • Oh, yum, buffalo chicken pizza with bleu cheese! I love buffalo sauce and bleu cheese. Been a long time since I've had a piece of that pizza. I think one piece would probably equal 3/4 of my daily calories!
  • First off, no one is going to be judging you. If anything, they're going to think "Good for her!" And a lot of those people at the gym started at the same place you're starting. In a couple weeks it will be old hat and you'll be more comfortable.
  • My favorite cereal is Quaker Oatmeal Squares. Yummy and good for you.
