I live in Phoenix too, right by Papago Park! Add me!

Type of food isnt everything (although it does have discreet value). If you drink water, are active enough for the food intake, and don't eat a lot of foods that make your body retain, you will lose weight. Friend me! I am from Phoenix, and definitely want some local friends.

What was your breakfast?

Yeah that is good. Just remember to keep a balance. If you are already high fat, and you take out carbs completely, replace it with protein. Most extreme low carbers (ketoers) still eat a few veggies, for the essential mineral benefit, so consider that.

Ah. I am just going to say what I think. I try as hard as possible to avoid anything artificial. I drink water all day long. I drink plain almondmilk (a lot of people can't). I don't drink juice, rarely drink soda (once every couple months-literally). Yeah, I eat Carbmaster cultured dairy blend, which has a couple colors…

Bleh. I can't stand coconut oil. That is definitely an acquired taste. Only place I like that is in the bedroom, for some reason. Don't ask me why, but its good there! Maybe some sort of psycho-sensory connection or something, but it is quite a phenomenon to me. Hope that's not too much tmi. Haha Coconut oil: delicious in…

Kens Steakhouse Buttermilk Ranch. It's pretty much all fat. Costs just as much as any other decent dressings. Look for it! Other than that...peanut butter. 75-80% fat.

Your body is smarter than you are. My body is smarter than I am. Any diet is just our minds' best guess. Make sure it gets the essentials, and don't eat if not hungry or fatigued (or don't anticipate being hungry). That is all you need to know. Your body will let you know if something is wrong. Sometimes, I must force…

Can your parents adopt me? Steak is a luxury in my tax bracket.

Medleys. Throw in whatever you want that can be cooked. Veggies, bacon, sauces, noodles (if you eat pasta), cheese....I love a good ground beef and egg medley with cheese. The fat from the ground beef is very flavorful!

I stand corrected!

Yeah, sure, its just one big d*** measuring contest. I make assertions, I debate on occasion, but if I am wrong, or have a possibility of being wrong, I acknowledge it and accept new information. I feel one learns best with corrected assertion. But I have not seen one post in this entire thread where someone's mind was…

Man...b****es be crazy! (I seem to think that all the forums have turned into are just a bunch of agreements to disagree)

How are your stools and bm's, I wonder?

That's the point.

Adams Peanut Butter Less carbs than Protein One ingredient: Peanuts! Anything else, in my opinion, is crap. Most "peanut butters" are made with vegetable/palm oil. PB2 is primarily used by the people who think fat is bad but want more peanut butter. To each their own, I guess.

And then smother it in cheese, and add more bacon!

"Challenge accepted!"

If I have a hard time.....bacon and cheese are my friend. They are with me through thick...and thin :D I am about to experiment with my macros. I am going to aim for 60% F, 30% P ( about 125-150 g) and 10% carbs. I will be eating at maintenance while conditioning for a Spartan Beast. The big three: fatty meat, cheese, and…

The indications from his research in laboratory trials are that, sure, some will occur, but not for very long before you return to a catabolic state (I.e. your body starts breaking down muscle again). Watching the video expands on what Dr. Layman is saying, and explains the research he has been working on in regards to…

The NCBI article on Dr. Layman's research is from 2009. I have read it, and he does state in the paper that having less than 30 grams at a meal doesn't contribute to synthesis, as dictated by leucine: " Adults require a minimum of 15 g of EAA or at least 30 g of total protein to fully stimulate skeletal muscle protein…
-
The video has a visual aid that demonstrates the trials he has completed, explains what people who do not have a PhD in Nutrition Science might not understand, and gives an increased amount of related statistics. Also notice that I asked you to watch the hourlong video that relates to Dr. Layman, whose views on protein…
-
Hence why the author of the article lists research in contrast to his claims, and why I told you to watch the video. I said nothing about the actual article. But once again, someone thinks a website is "silly" because they don't agree with everything on it. Go figure.

Dinosaurs. I will never eat a dinosaur for the rest of my life.

I updated.

Any protein value in a meal that is less than 30g is a value of empty calories. You may as well be drinking beer. Your body can't use less than that amount for protein synthesis to reverse the catabolic state you are in by lunchtime. Check out Dr. Layman's research on protein and carbs. It is quite fascinating. Dr. Layman…

You need to lose weight (i think)...She needs to gain it. And yet, you not eating makes her not eat because...why? Truth is, you should talk about this with her. Otherwise it will always be a problem, and nothing will get resolved. And if you can't talk about it with her....what kind of relationship is that?

"Uh yeah, hang on, man...(in the background) I'll take a number 4, extra mayo, large fries, and a large Fanta...yeah, and add a jr. Bacon to that.....ok, what's up man?"

I whoosh three times a day. It's really invigorating. I strongly recommend it!

OP wants to lose more weight for the sole purpose of getting rid of belly fat. Doc said no, most likely because she is at the bottom end of her ideal weight. She is "freaked out" about gaining weight. She is, as far as I can tell, physically healthy. She needs to learn how using protein, carbs, and fat, and strength…
