I lost 47 pounds using MFP (recently gained 25 back in the last 6 months), I lost weight in my hands, fingers, wrists, etc. I had to have all my rings sized down a 1 complete size. Even my watch bands were way to large.

I usually weigh twice a week. Normally on Monday morning and again on Thursday mornings. I will only record Mondays unless it's a big change. I like watching the slightest change, whether it's up or down. It's motivates me.
