  • Mine used to do that on the elliptical. I haven't figured out why. Fill us in if you figure it out!
  • @Hannahom... I love the ones of you in the black lacey dress (or maybe I just love the dress). :o) And I love the pic of you two on the stairs. So cute!!
  • @packman1016... Your current profile pic or the brown sweater pic. :o)
  • I live in Lake Orion... and I hate winter! :o) Luckily, I have lots of stairs in my house I can climb, and the occasional workout DVD.

  • I was stopped at a red light one morning on my way to work, and I noticed that the man a couple lanes over was trying to get my attention. So, I stupidly rolled down my window. Him: "Hey, I'm lost. Can you help me?" Me: "Uh, maybe.... Where you trying to go?" Him: "Yo' house!" I began laughing and rolled my window back up,…
  • That seems to be how I lose. Not the best or most efficient way to do it, but it has worked for me... and I think it'll lead to a life-long way of maintaining weight once I get to my goal because I'm slowly learning what works and what doesn't. I started at 270 about 6-7 years ago. I lost about 50, and then gained back…
  • Maybe. But people have a hard time letting go. Or maybe they feel guilt about leaving. Maybe they need someone to tell 'em. Who knows. And with that, I'm done. No point arguing when no one knows for sure.
  • I love these stories! Just wasted a couple hours at work reading this whole thing. The one about the white blob with red eyes... holy freaky! The one about the sheets leading to the burning candle... so awesome! Those are just a couple that I remember right now, but seriously, these are some great stories. I definitely…
  • Born and raised in "the thumb" of Michigan. Attended Michigan State. Then moved to Baltimore, MD for a few years. Love Maryland! Now back in the Detroit metro area. :o)
  • I don't know if anyone has mentioned this or not, but ever since I stopped drying my bras in the dryer, I haven't had any of the underwires break through on me. Just thought I'd mention it, in case that could be the case in your situation.

  • I am not a fan of Victoria Secret bras. The wires have popped out of every one I've ever had. But maybe that's because I buy the cheapest ones they have. I'm a bit thrifty. This probably won't help you much, but the ones I love come from Lane Bryant. They fit well, and they last forever. Haven't had a single wire poke me…

  • Check out the Starbuck's website. They have an entire list of all their drinks under 200 calories. And I agree with everyone else who said skinny caramel macchiato. Mmmm... I also really like their Vanilla Rooibos Latte... but I'm not sure how many calories are in it. Under 150 for skim milk for sure.
  • I feel like Whole Foods might have more stuff in general, but Trader Joe's is cheaper, their brand of food is super tasty, and it's just a fun environment to shop in. Edited to add that the hot food bars at Whole Foods are pretty awesome... but kinda pricey.
  • I like a good deal, so I like the look and price of Old Navy jeans.... but they just do not fit me right. They bunch up around my pelvic area... to put it nicely. My favorite jeans are a pair of boot-cut from New York & Company. Their pants seem to fit me the best.
  • I love Greek yogurt for breakfast! My favorite mix-ins are usually walnuts, either raspberries, blackberries, or dried cranberries, and honey. I've been adding some flax seed lately too. All the mix-ins make it so I use less honey than I used to. Not that it's "that" bad, but the calories add up quick. People use it for…
  • Hi guys! I'm Jenn. 32. Michigan. Forensic Interviewer. Single (obviously). But I refuse to let that define me. :noway: Just found out about this group today, and figured I might as well join. I'm not very good about being very active on here (posting/responding) other than logging food, but I recentlly joined the Zombie…
  • I'm in! But oh so nervous!!
  • I love rockabilly style. Just a quick google search brought up a few things that I'll link to. The follow are pics to a wedding, but at least it could give you an idea of colors/decorations/clothes/style/etc....…
  • Chop it! It's hair. It'll grow back... I went from mid-back length hair to shoulder length hair this summer.... and everyone loves my new hair cut. I do too. Makes me feel sassy. ;o)
  • Hmm... I wouldn't of thought of that! How long did you have to do it for?
  • Hmmm.... a Google search brought up lots of things it could be, so you should probably ask your doctor to rule out anything serious. That being said, my sister's palms turn orange because she eats sweet potatoes so often. I know carrots can do this as well.
  • Ahhhh, okay. Thanks for the explanation!!
  • Loved your topic! :o) I have a question, though. This whole weight loss thing is confusing me! So, you told the girls to eat 400 calories over their BMR.... I assume this is the number they would need to eat in order to lose weight. Okay, so, I calculated my BMR, and it's around 1650. Which means, if I added 400 to it, I…
  • Well, for 1, Based on your profile picture, you are not *so* overweight. For 2, you are not eating enough. You definitely are not eating enough. Your body is going to hold onto every morsel you do it because it is not getting enough calories to function. In my own opinion, and with no medical backing to this, it appears…
  • Awww.... I want some MFP crushes! I don't even think I have any friends on here who are guys. Maybe one... Maybe I need to visit the "Find Members" tab.
  • Just wanted to say that I'm in the same situation you are! I've been stuck at 15 lbs for a while. Gonna' try some of these suggestions!
  • Your "goal" should be life-long health. This isn't supposed to be a diet, it's supposed to be a lifestyle change. Which means that you get to "cheat" every now and then and not feel bad about it. In fact, sometimes it helps by keeping your metabolism guessing. Just don't make the "cheat" your way of life... Enjoy!! :o)
  • I am so glad I'm not the only one dealing with this!! Coffee used to do the trick, but now I drink it too often, so that's not working any more. I've started eating prunes every day, but still not much, uh, movement.
  • You can totally do this! Don't give up!! I've been "losing" weight since 2006. I do good for a few months and drop lots of pounds, then I get lazy for a while and gain a few back. In the end, I'm still healthier and weigh less than I used to. Just don't ever give up! One day it will click, and it'll become a lifestyle…
