Greek yogurt dill dip. They sell it at the grocery store. The way I've been eating my veggies lately and loving it is putting them in a crustless quiche. I sauté about two to three cups of veggies such as mushrooms, eggplant, zucchini, peppers, & broccoli in olive oil spray, and put them in the bottom of a pie pan. Then in…

Im in my early 40s and working out with this older body surely feels different then it did even just 5 years ago! Can't wait for tonight when I can read through this thread!

Inspirational thread! I've been working out for years with cardio (40 min or so) being my main focus, then adding 15 minutes of weights. I started reading about doing a little cardio in order to have strength to lift heavier and in the past few months I've progressively found myself doing the exact opposite-spending 15…

I feel the same way! I want so badly to encourage others but never do. The closest I've gotten is if I make eye contact I smile and nod my head. Unfortunately, I don't see most come back- I just hope they are going at a different time than my usual workout time.

I did that the other day-but it was my shirt. Wondered if anyone noticed but didn't say anything. I could've replied, "this side is fresh."

I love the videos showing proper technique-thanks for posting this link. There are a few exercises I want to add to my routine.

I had an umbilical hernia fixed in December-I've had it since pregnancy with my 12 year old. I was doing light cardio a week later and as bigguy47 said I couldn't lift weighs over 10 lbs for 6 weeks. My goal was not to lose during this time, just not to gain. My body required a lot more sleep than usual so be prepared to…

I have an iPhone and use run keeper. You can choose different activities such as walking, hiking, running etc. it keeps track of distance and time. I haven't searched apps recently but what I do once in awhile is search for free apps for running-the last one I found was virtual trainer but haven't checked it out yet as I…

I had major foot surgery a few years back and my doctor gave me a wet suit gear type device for my foot and encouraged me to go to the pool and to use it the very day after getting home! Getting in and out of the water on only one foot posed its challenges as I was not to bare any weight whatsoever on the foot. And for…

I meant to quote your posting as it is similar to the recipe I made this morning! Thanks for the apple cinnamon tip!

I just made the op's recipe but substituted half a cup of oat flour (rolled oats pulverized in a food processor) and they are delicious. I also substituted agave syrup for the sweetener. I topped mine with more yogurt and fresh berries. I love the apple cinnamon yogurt idea! What do you serve on yours? I'd like to see if I…

Go to your local nature food store or Trader Joes. They have all sorts of yummy ingredients to add. Dried fruit (raisins, apricots, apples, dates, currants, peaches, cherries, blueberries), pumpkin or sunflower seeds, coconut flakes, other nuts (hazelnuts, almonds, walnuts, cashews), dried cereal such as those made by…

high iron foods: Font size: AAA Share this: Iron-Rich Foods Spinach may not give you superhuman strength to fight off villains like Popeye's nemesis Bluto, but this leafy green and other foods containing iron can help you fight a different type of enemy -- iron-deficiency anemia. Iron-deficiency anemia, the most common…

Once I bit into a Reese`s peanut butter cup and there were maggots. That was in high school. I am in my 40`s now and still can`t eat one. Never liked the consistency of the peanut butter in them anyway.

No-but yesterday a group of 4 men walked by me and one of them (or all of them for all I know) REEKED of alcohol. Your topic gave me a flashback to yesterday! Guess he wanted to sweat it all out...

I still don't understand why we vaccinate since the immunity lasts only 14 to 25 years meaning that our children are possibly susceptible to it when they are in their 20`s? (see link to CDC website below.) I succombed to my doctor`s advice and had my children immunized as his answer to my question was answered with "it…
