I crave citrus, and often tuna, after I've had a bad day with my seizures (basically, carbs, protein, Vitamin C, B vitamins - all things that would aid recovery.) So yeah, I've always felt there was something to it...

Baked potato.

Nope. All verbal abuse does is make me respond in kind, which stresses me out, which often leads to seizure-related issues, which often puts me out of commission for the rest of the day. So yeah, bullying doesn't work for me. That said, if one wants to motivate me... tell me I can't do something. ;)

Hard to say. I mean, I can cook, garden, forage, knit, crochet, sew a little, can shoot a traditional bow with decent accuracy and people seem to come to me for basic medical stuff (enough that I've been thinking about going back to school.) Problem is, I have epilepsy and 200 years ago tends to fall between "tried as a…

I've tried that twice. It shows the rest on my feed, but it doesn't show up on my ticker. :(

Try setting your tracking mode to accelerometer, or if you know what your average speed is running a mile, use the constant speed option. :)

My fitbit says I burn around 3,000 calories per day and I usually aim to eat at least 1,800-2,000 calories per day (roughly my bmr.) I exercise at least one hour per day walking/hiking/jogging up and down the road I live on with my dog playing Zombies, Run. Some days, I go on hour long bike rides or do archery for an hour.…

Hi there! I'm 34 and I usually log everyday (providing I'm not out of bandwidth or anything - basically, if it's a few days before the 11th and I'm sorta quiet... yeah. LOL!)
-
I've had similar happen, but for me, it's often due to delayed soreness (I also don't always seem to register how sore I am, which gives me a tendency to overdo it.) A few days of rest in a row might help.

That is utterly amazing. Also, I want to say thank you. I lost my dad to a heart attack when I was 16, so reading this... your family probably doesn't even know how fortunate they truly are to have someone do what you have done. <3

I realized I wasn't eating enough for my activity level. Opposite problem, I guess.
-
Water. I'm boring. :)
-
Absolutely, but I also use a push mower with no drive on hilly terrain, too. I mainly log it as a reminder to myself that I need to eat more (which is more of a problem for me than being active is.)

Wintergreen lifesavers. I almost cannot stop eating them.

34 here! :)

Dad: Do things right the first time, dirty jokes, dirty nursery rhymes, pretty much everything about baseball, how to fight; that if you have to fart in a car with other people in it, at least have the forethought to lock all of the windows so they won't roll down; sex education to the point he left nothing to the…

I blew up an airbed by mouth last night, freaking myself and my friends out a bit. Apparently all the walking and jogging I've done over the summer has strengthened my lungs. My pants are starting to slide down to an annoying degree. I'm starting to be able to see my belly button again. :)

Doctors did the same to my dad once, and it made him completely miserable. They basically just restricted him from everything, but never actually told him what he could eat, so he tried eating less of the same foods and without adding any salt. It didn't work out very well. Myself, I'm on a fairly restrictive diet -…

Our former landlady, when my mother and I went to rent a place from her, was like "you must take all the food away from your mother." When we mentioned to her that I had epilepsy, she told me "would it help if you lost weight?" After that, I ended up having to excuse myself and go outside, where I called her a few nasty…

I adore that app. I'm really hooked on it and it keeps me motivated. I usually just use it for walks with the zombie chases turned off (every time I've turned them on, it catches me when I'm either walking uphill or have jogged a bit and totally out of gas,) and do the Zombies 5K (separate app, but also worth it,) training…

I can run farther now than I could three months ago when I started. I'm starting to build back muscle in my legs that I've not seen since I was a figure skater at age 10. I've built up enough muscle in my arms through weights and archery that I don't hate myself in a tank top now (I'm also starting to get the hang of…

Added. I'd like to run a 5K as well. :D

Beef, eggs, dairy and certain cheeses - I'm both sensitive and lactose-intolerant, so avoiding them is quite easy unless I want to spend the day in the bathroom. ;) I also have to avoid MSG and artificial sweeteners, and be very careful with foods high in glutamate because they trigger my seizures and cause me headaches if…

I walk my dog (sometimes, this turns into a run because we live in a rural area and when he sees a deer or rabbits, he takes off after them. Heh;) while playing Zombies, run. The two together keep me motivated (the dog more than Zombies, run, tbh. All he has to do is look at me with those big brown eyes and I'm like "okay,…
