  • I feel your pain... my first severe one was very frightening and they still are because they are so sudden! I was diagnosed with having severe panic attacks about 2 months ago. My Dr. gave me Lorazepam, but I didn't think I needed them (I am not a meds person..). However, when school started up again, they got worse, so I…
  • Exactly the same as me! 140-150 would be perfect I think... I haven't been that small in a long time.
  • I have been a DD since I was about 15 or 16. Even when I dropped down to 140lbs (I'm 5'6"), they were still there. Every time I have lost weight since then, they have always stayed. I find it kind of a blessing and a curse because it gets HARDER to find nice blouses that don't separate at the chest area!
  • I always make sure to count my cleaning calories. Some people may not agree with it, but the fact is that you're up and moving, and yes cleaning a house is exhausting, but I always feel good in two ways after: 1. I am done cleaning the house and now it smells nice and 2. I feel like I got a bit of a workout!
  • I go to Rowan University in Glassboro, NJ. Will be graduating in May :)
  • I also just started the program, and love it. I have always hated running, mainly because I would watch all of the other people running indefinitely and I would burn out way before they did, so it demotivated me. With this program, I feel like I can actually accomplish something every time I do it. I started the speeds…
  • Ramen Noodles are so good for a small wallet, I used to eat them as my breakfast, lunch, and dinner when I was living on my own... but they are incredibly bad for you. Obviously at the time I didn't even care cuz I was just hoping to have SOMETHING to eat. Living with my parents it started off difficult since my father…
  • Back fat is my enemy. Everything except my back and boobs shrinks. I want a "cut" toned back. I went from a size 10 (shoudl have been a 12 but too stubborn to go buy 12s at the time), to a size 8, and then went to target and realized in their jeans I was a size 4. Hips, waist, and thighs shrink... top of my doesn't. Very…
  • I think about this every time somebody asks me how I've lost weight. Before my fitness pal this could be a typical day: Breakfast: Left overs from last night (dinner food, heaping amounts of it) or a stop at Wawa (I think these are only in South Jersey and Philly area? Midwest think a cheaper version of Sheets) for a…
  • I enjoy challenges but I also find them after they're closed! This is a great idea :) NAME: Megan AGE: 23 HEIGHT: 5'6'' START WEIGHT FOR CHALLENGE: 168 GOAL WEIGHT FOR CHALLENGE: 155 START PANTS SIZE: 8 (US) GOAL PANTS SIZE: 6 (US) FOLLOW ANY SPECIAL DIET: I try to eat more veggies and fish instead of red meats. DIET…
  • I also suffer from seasonal depression, but I have never taken the meds for it, which probably would have helped me a few years ago when it caused me to drop out of school and almost get fired from my job. However, I generally gain weight as well from October to the end of March (when the days are dreary and short and…
  • I've definitely hit the wall of losing near to nothing, maybe a pound or two a month now. When I first started I dropped 20 pounds in a pretty short amount of time, then slowly I lost a few more (took about 1.5 to 2 months). Now I've been floating around the same weight for over a month. It's frustrating, but I also know…
  • I want to definitely try to do INSANITY again, I stopped after about two weeks and have had a hard time getting back into it. But I really enjoyed it... so I shall probably start this week... the sooner the better :)
  • Good job to everybody!!! Congrats on all your losses, because they're big wins :D
  • It works differently for everybody, but for me if I eat too soon before I workout I feel nauseous. I've heard to eat three hours before working out so it is mostly digested before you start sweating it up. I generally have a hard time eating right after I work out because I'll feel nauseous then as well. The only thing…
  • What I found when going to the bar is to order things that are more calorie friendly than not... 1. My doctor said clear liquors are best, especially vodka. If you get a vodka and diet soda or club soda, then you're not really ingesting too many caloies. 2. I always eat a healthy food before going so I don't have too much…
  • Ugh, I had shin splints in high school... they are horrible. Two things I did to get them to heal a little faster is ice them for about 10 minutes a night and do stretches for them. Sit with your legs under you and stretch back. It hurts but at the same time feels good. Did you also get the bruising? When I had them it…
  • Sadly I am the same way. I just want to lose all 50lbs and get it over with... I'm more excited when I fit into smaller clothes honestly. The scale lies to me a lot... it can make me really happy or really sad. That's why I don't make mini-goals. But different things work for different people. Some people probably benefit…
  • I lose in my face and waist first. My hips and thighs are stubborn, but they do go down eventually and my chest DOES NOT BUDGE. Last year I lost 30 pounds and my chest was the same from the time I started until the time I stopped. My band size went down, but not the boobs. I don't really pay attention to my arms, but I'm…
  • I was a very bad college student... in my first year I gained 50 POUNDS. Yes, 50. I went from 165 to 215. I contribute it to late night binge eating after drinking 5-6 times a week (I got involved in Greek Life, which honestly a lot of your time is spent drinking on porches/in driveways during your free time). So some…
  • When I first started on this site in like... March I think... I lost NOTHING. In fact I gained like 4 pounds... then I kinda started taking it a bit more seriously by logging things etc. I was getting really frustrated also because I was on depo, and reading all these horror stories about how it's not possible to lose…
  • Here's what has worked for me... keep in mind I've lost 10.5 pounds in 2 weeks and I'm pretty sure it's water weight from being on depo, but it still keeps me motivated... this is what I've been doing for two weeks. 1. Tracking EVERYTHING I ingest to the best of my ability on this site. I have the app on my iPhone so when…
  • I have only rode a horse once and I felt like I worked every muscle in my body. Arms, legs, core, it felt awesome... until I fell off and bruised my ribs and shoulder ^.^ Anyway, I'm not really sure how many calories I burned, but it felt like I burned a lot haha. Could be that it was a new thing and that's why I was so…
  • It's really demotivating when people are like "OMG yeah I run 4 miles every morning it's sooo easy!" Of course it's easy for them. They've probably been doing it for a long time and are used to it. I run 4 minutes and I'm ready to take a seat on the curb. But I don't let it bother me. I turn it into a joke. "Yeah? That's…
  • I can remember a time when I threw up after exercise and it was NOT FUN AT ALL. Once was in 8th grade during field hockey practice and it was 90 degrees and I ate a big breakfast... and I ran off the track and just puked like crazy. I just am careful not to fill my stomach up at all before exercise. Also the second I feel…
  • I was using the Nike shock sneakers and they made my feet hurt really bad from the side to side movements. They're great for running, walking, etc., but when I was doing plyometrics and side to side heismans or whatever was in Insanity... my feet were on FIRE. As soon as I took my shoes off I stopped having the pain and…
  • I had the same issue when I was doing Insanity. What I found works for me is... well... doing it barefoot. It's especially nice on a carpeted surface or sometimes I was doing it on a rubber mat. All of my foot pain went away when I did this. I was thinking about trying TurboFire, how is it?
  • I also am curious about this... For the last two weeks I've been really stressed at work and have only been eating... 500-800 cals a day... But I'm not hungry. I am still losing weight, and I'm also inline with my carbs, proteins, fats... The only thing I can think of... is do you mainly eat veggies? I realized when I cut…
  • A C or D cup would be awesome. I haven't seen a cupsize that small since I was 13! Currently I am also a DD. I feel that it's kind of a pain to get cute bras unless I order them from Victoria's Secret... and then I'm paying like $50 for a bra.
  • To the girl with the big bust, I feel your pain. I went to 7 different clothing stores this past weekend to find a simple dress. Anything that would fit my bust made me look like I was wearing a moo-moo. But the idea of the belt to cinch sounds like a really great idea :) About this topic. I've seen ads for plus sized…
