  • And there it is
  • I have not given up any food. Just never eat as much of them. It is the only way to avoid failing.
  • Everyone should be consuming enough water and fiber to go at least once a day, preferably twice.
  • And, don't eat stuff you do not like. No point in it. It is not like Cottage Cheese is a free food or a miracle food. Far to many great things out there to eat besides it. This topic makes me think it is like work!
  • There are lots and lots of brands and types. Most, I will not eat, I find them terrible. My favorite, by a new york state dairy, Friendship! the very best. I eat it right out the container. In fact, it is like candy, i avoid it!!!! I think it is some of the best stuff on earth. generic, soupy stuff, is just nasty.
  • PB is great but you gotta follow the calories! Eating a cup a day is going to give you problems. eating a serving or two is great.
  • Hey Lin, I understand the feeling. I love food, i love eating all day long. Walking 5 miles a day is always a help. I feel bad for you women who try to lose or maintain. You get so many fewer calories a day than we men do. I find I like to do the work of walking, hiking or just outside yard work in order to eat more. Last…
  • Way to go! What a change! Day to day life feels better I am sure
  • Kick *kitten*! Way to go man!
  • most of the time i am cooking for myself and i almost never use packaged stuff. either i make enough just for me, or yeah, have leftovers! love em for lunch
  • its pretty simple really. you need to honestly eat less calories every day than what you burn in a day. the laws of thermodynamics are pretty simple really. also keep in mind 2000 calories in doughnuts is not the same as 2000 calories of chicken breast
  • To bad for him. You are getting in shape for your health and the health of your family.
  • incredible work, really incredible. your husband has got to be thrilled to have you on his arm. dang!
  • eat the yummy stuff, just less of it. i put on a fair number of pounds when i was in school. load up on salad first. or do what i never did. exercise regularly. if you burn enough calories, you wont have to worry. just try and limit portions :) good luck
  • on my second pump, due for a new one next spring. i have never paid anything, my insurance covered the first one fully, the second one, i was a repeat customer and they wrote off about $500. both are valued around $5000. Accucheck or what used to be Diesetronic. happy with them except i still got to test my blood.
  • from understanding other fishing practices, and as with anything else, it will eventually be raised in farms. if it is high demand and they natural population cant keep up, the market will make it keep up. If you put stuff on menus, people will keep them from going extinct.
  • dont worry about yesterday or last week. just worry about the day at hand. you cant go back and you cant save up. just work one day at a time, no worries. two days of eating everything under the sun, sometimes is good. dont worry about it
  • My mom is 52 and has been on MFP for a few months now, she has dropped 15lbs. she walks, tries to eat better and its working.
  • i usually eat it and then not eat something else.
  • i always liked everything, still do. food and i have always gotten along. i never did like eating junk, just really good food. most of it i made myself before. but would just make huge amounts.
  • whats a low calorie breakfast? mine are around 500 calories, but thats low cal to me. some egg beaters, slice of cheese, maybe a few veggies, add a meat in and have a breakfast sandwich. lower on carbs, higher on fat/protein
  • i am mad that I need to buy new clothes. I do need new sneakers, but that again is because of all my walking. more of a cause and effect thing.
  • I really dont reward myself. I eat everything I had eaten before I started this, I just dont do it as often and my walks "exercise" are rewards enough. I dont get the rewards stuff really. isnt getting yourself in better shape, being healthier, living life fuller, reward enough?
  • I looked too. You are going to starve today eating like that. Get some food in ya.
  • Metamucil is king! I know Docs that also recommended it purely for heart health. the notion that its a laxative or softener is bogus. i also regularly eat a diet with good fruits and veggies, but i will never quit my Metamucil. not going regularly can lead to health problems later in life.
  • fiber and water. i dont know why so many people balk at the idea of taking Metamucil. Doesnt taste bad, helps the heart out and keeps everything more regular and way less to clean up. plus, its another glass of water.....
  • oh and one other thing on this. Maybe someone posted it. cutting out things you have eaten your entire life usually will lead to failure in your plan. You need to just find out what works best for you. If you can cut weight and get your body in better shape and occasionally eat the "bad stuff" by all means do it. I have…
  • i get what i want. i just dont do it often at all any more. to me it has gotten very easy to just say no. but, if i get a craving, i just get it and add it, then either have a nice exercise or just worry about the rest of the week
  • There are probably better summer camps out there that will hire you as a real employee. I worked at one in Vermont and it was a blast and I was paid mega bucks. My mom worked at one out in Eastern Pa and she was the camp nurse, she was paid very well too and treated as any other employee there.
