Hahaha, I changed my mind. I no longer want to do a Tough Mudder!!! See the course below but really read those events. The Electroshock Picture is the one that solidified my NO! From April 9 + 10, 2011 http://toughmudder.com/events/pennsylvania/bear-creek-course-map-2011/

I want to do one really, really badly..... when I'm ready.... and fit... in another lifetime!! Good luck on yours!!! A friend of a friend recently completed one. There is one near me in October. My best friend and I want to compete and have made personal goals to prepare for it... but somehow the cupcakes keep…

Thanks! Gotcha. It was a mild one, wasn't it?? More of an influx in sea level? I know there were a couple lookey-loos who were dragged off to sea. Not to be disrespectful..... but stupid is as stupid does. I think the same of 'storm chasers' who get those amazing photos of tornadoes. Just asking to be hurt or killed…

Thank you :flowerforyou:. She's been in therapy for a year now. Her behavior at school is the biggest hurdle we have to conquer. She prays for 'good behavior cards' from school during her nightly prayers. I cry when I hear those prayers. She wants to be good, but simply cannot control her behavior. Part of this is due to…

*jumps for joy* I am hoping to find that it's something as "simple" as a food allergy.... an intolerance to a food... that will help her regain focus and control of her behavior. (I say "simple" when it's still very hard to adjust but the results are visible!)

The success rate is about 70%. It didn't work for my daughter's kindergarten teacher's son either. I am hoping but still keeping the med appointment.

CricketKate, As much as he irritates the crap out of me (he isn't ..... aw hell, he's a piss poor father), I don't hate him and I'd never dance on his grave! My friends hate him much more than I do! Her reply was too funny though!!

I'm starting the Feingold (allergen elimination) diet with my daughter over the next few weeks. It can help with ADHD, ODD, autism, etc... There are only certain chocolates allowed. Common ones like Hershey's are not allowed, containing one or more of the offending allergens. I think it's quite possible that you've…

Sodium affects men as well. They can retain water the same as women. You should be concerned with his blood pressure. Sodium intake is related to high blood pressure (hypertension) and heart disease. Some people can handle the sodium and their body flushes it out very well, not impacting their BP. (I'm not one of those…

As another non-cable under-rock dweller.... um huh? Was this recent? Or the one from March after the Japan tsunami??
-
You'll find out your answer in a day or two when the water retention lets up. Based on my enormous weight gain over the weekend based on massive sodium intake, and given my previous experience with sodium based water retention, I'd say it's very possible for a good chunk of that to be true water retention.

I applaud you for taking in all the comments made with the consideration and care they were meant in. Many people would have flown off the handle for anyone questioning their marriage, but you understood the concern expressed and appreciated it, letting us know it's not as bad as we may have thought. :flowerforyou: And I…

There's a good way to drive a wedge between Ben and DH! Why would DH want that guy around if he's clockblocking him!??!

My husband would let his friends, acquaintances, strangers even, speak to me however they liked. I was forced to speak up for myself, forced to stand alone against them in situations like this while he cowered behind me. I left that husband. He had no respect for me. While I don't flippantly advise you leave, I suggest you…

Learn from this lesson, that's what you do  Now you know and next time you'll do better... not order it or eat less of it or whatever works for you! Drink lots of water today to flush out the extra sodium and help you feel less hungry at dinner. Try to eat lighter at dinner.... plenty of food, just lower calories.…

I feel your pain. It is getting as expensive to cook a meal at home as it is to grab fast food. When you factor in the convenience of not cooking and little clean up.... it's tough. But stick with it!!!!! It's worth it. YOU ARE WORTH THE EXPENSIVE OF HEALTHIER FOOD. Remember that  ..... *whispers* Says this…

I  that you are a person who can laugh at yourself  Good luck in breaking the sweet tooth :flowerforyou:

Oh! Duh! Why didn't I think of that? Just like when I stick my fingers in my ears and go "la la la la I can't hear yoooooou" then that person and what they are saying doesn't exist! Thanks Running!

I should get my mind outta the gutter.... but not today.

Come on, I figured out how to fix that when I was 16. Place a picture of your boyfriend/girlfriend over the check engine light. You won't notice the orange light at all, not until the engine falls out and the mechanic asks if that light was on, and you say 'No! Of course not", and then he removes the picture, revealing the…

No idea. Like the others, I'd say reach out for therapy and guidance. They are the professionals. Wanted to congratulate you on your courage in reaching out to us. (((hugs)))
