Like others have said, try to look up any nutritional info beforehand (Friday's and Applebee's and Chili's particularly, can be killer in terms of calories.) When eating out, skip any bread/butter appetizer, and just be conscious of how things are prepared. If you get a salad, get dressing on the side and think about the…

What is your diet like so far? Have you been logging your food (if for no other reason than to get a baseline of what your daily intake is)? I ask because at least for me, starting with food first was a good way to ease into a new routine and start changing my habits. As far as indoor exercise, I'd recommend Jillian…

Yes. A few months to 27 and have about 30 lbs left to my GW. Feel free to add me!
-
oooh sorry. Do you have a HRM? I would just create an activity under your exercise and log the cals burned from your HRM or estimate from the treadmill. Or log as jogging/walking intervals, that is how I did it

this site has a breakdown: http://www.coolrunning.com/engine/2/2_3/181.shtml I would recommend buying the Couch to 5k app if you have a smartphone--has the plans and audio prompts to let you know when to walk/run and you can play your own music over it.

No, I don't think anyone with differing opinions is ridiculous, nor people who support exercise. But there's a difference between suggesting ways to ease in to exercise (as OP said she was trying to do) and telling her she's convinced herself to be lazy. The latter kind of negative comment is what I deemed ridiculous.

Yes, this. I had a lot of fits and starts and setbacks in the beginning because I tried to do too much at once, like you're saying, by overhauling and being strict on diet and exercise at once. Focus on eating first if you think that is what you can and need to control first and move on from there. Ignore the negative…

Mine is open! I've been trying to focus on eating fresh food/eating as clean as possible. Always open to adding new friends/lending support as well.

I ran a 5k the other day when I used to not be able to run 10 minutes straight--never thought I'd be able to keep going for over 30!

I have found goat cheese to be a great option here. I'll make whole wheat pasta, and one serving of soft goat cheese melts, is very creamy and satisfying, and only adds about 70 cals per serving of cheese. You could probably add in a little bit of other shredded lowfat cheese to go with it and some skim milk if need be.…

yep, make sure you stay until the VERY end of the credits. one of my favorite scenes.

This. Ezekiel bread is great and has no additives or cellulose. You can find it at Whole Foods or any kind of health food or more upscale grocer. http://www.foodforlife.com/product-catalog/ezekiel-49/breads

Feel free to add me too! Trying to be as clean as possible and really loving it so far.

AMC is a chain of movie theaters. Might be regional. So the AMC popcorn listing is from that chain. I think it depends--obviously not adding the liquid butter or any additional seasonings helps keep it down, but the problem for me is portion control. Sometimes I buy a small and dump half out immediately (portion control is…

It's hard when you haven't quite reached your goal yet, but think of the success--you've lost over 30 lbs! That is seriously impressive. Sometimes when I hit a milestone I will pick up something heavy (weights at the gym or so) and FEEL how much weight I'm no longer carrying around. You'll get there!

I've logged in for 97 days in a row! Very active, on here every day and working hard to hit my goal...no plans of stopping any time soon. Looking for more new friends to add.
