  • Hi everyone! My husband and I just started Keto this Sunday (Monday for him). I'm also dairy free since our oldest daughter has a severe dairy allergy and I gave up dairy when breastfeeding my youngest because she was intolerant - so I've been DF for almost 2 years! I lost a boatload of weight (about 80 pounds) and was…
  • I used a Fitbit for years and this past February my husband and I got Apple Watches. There's definitely a learning curve and it takes a bit to not focus on steps but on the rings... now I get pissed when I don't get my 3 rings on weekdays (less so on weekends). I feel like I've been losing better with the Apple Watch and I…
  • @EricaN81 Congrats!! 42w wow. I couldn't take more than 39. I requested to be induced the morning of week 39 (and glad I did - she was 9lb 4oz!!).
  • Thank you!! :) @VeryKatie aww on Father's Day! How perfect :)
  • Has everyone had their baby in this group? Pics for cuteness :)
  • @artgalchitown I had a partial placenta previa at 20 weeks and had to go back at 24 weeks for a follow up ultrasound and it had corrected by then. I was just on pelvic rest for 4 weeks. So hopefully it'll correct for you - they told me it's pretty common at 20 weeks and the majority correct. @VeryKatie glad to hear it was…
  • @VeryKatie so happy to have her here! And not be pregnant!! I can't believe how big she is!! Her big sister is almost here to meet her :)
  • She's a chunk !!! Addison Ryan G. was born at 3:21 PM on June 9th, 2017. Weighing in at a chunky 9lbs 4 oz and measuring 21 inches. (Big sister was only 6lb 11oz)!
  • Mine is just the opposite - my edd by lmp is 6/9 but by scan is 6/16. And she's measuring at least a week ahead (at 36w). I'll be 39w Friday - and in about 23-24 hours (or less) this process will be starting! Should have a baby here real soon.... now if only I could sleep comfortably- or at all...
  • @EricaN81 there's a full moon Friday so maybe!!
  • The end is in sight!! I just scheduled my induction for Friday at 4am!!! I've had some BP issues and I'm so ready for this. I had my second membrane sweep today so if I don't go before hand we should have a baby on Friday!!
  • 16 days... just 16 days.... Been going on walks and sitting on my yoga ball... Have an appointment tomorrow - we'll see if there's any more progress.... fingers crossed.
  • I've had several over the years. I had an Ultra, Charge HR, Charge 2 and my husband used to have a Surge and Charge 2. The Surge is very large. I really liked my Charge 2. We just wanted something different - I ended up selling it to my friend who is using it and really likes it. We got my mom a Zip one year for Christmas,…
  • I had a fitbit for years and loved it. My husband and I got Apple Watches about 6 months ago and I love it too. So it really depends on your budget and what you're looking for. But really, I don't think you can go wrong with FitBit - plus they have a bunch of options.
  • On our walk around the block tonight, one of our neighbors popped out to say hi and said something to the effect of she's never seen a women so ready and I need to get to the hospital. I laughed and told her I'm super ready, hence the walks. She said she just had to say something because she sees us walking and we're such…
  • @Queenmunchy I have 19 days until my due date. But I'm so ready for so many reasons. One of them is so i can start getting back to my "normal" self again. Hopefully will feel like eating better and making meals. And working out. We've been fighting a battle with Sears for over a month for the treadmill we ordered - after…
  • With fake smiles, irritability, tears and bitterness. Lol. J/k... sort of. And I agree, at least they asked!!!
  • Double check with your OB or midwife at next appointment to be sure. But for me, I ate at maintenance for 1st, maintenance +300 for 2nd and maintenance +500 for third (until I stopped caring - I'm 37w and haven't logged for about a month or so). I think so far I've gained about 20-23 pounds depending on the day and water…
  • Progress is very exciting!! We went on a walk tonight (something we usually do when it's nice out) and I was contracting pretty good - I see more walks in our future. I'm due on June 16th. But she's already measuring at 8 pounds (+/-2). The ultrasound on Tuesday at 36+5 showed her head measuring 41w her abdomen at 40w and…
  • @VeryKatie I totally missed your reply about your shower. So you guys aren't finding out the sex of the baby? We got a fair amount of pink - which I am so sick of. Luckily we got all gender neutral for the big stuff - car seat, stroller etc. I'm happy they're born in the same season so we can reuse the clothes we already…
  • @VeryKatie that sounds glorious. I had a couple with Emma. Unfortunately, my husband is on nights now so I'm with her during the day on the weekends and during the week I work. Maybe I'll just luck out and go into labor soon lol. I'm hoping this keep progressing the way they have been - if they don't hopefully it won't be…
  • @VeryKatie I can't remember when Emma dropped, but this one has definitely dropped. My friend said last week she looked lower, and I've been feeling like she's been lower and lower this week. The MA at the doctor's office yesterday even said it looks like she's dropped. Based on the pain in my pubic bone and hip - she's…
  • I'm so happy - these contractions aren't for nothing!! I was a fingertip dilated last week and as of yesterday was almost a 2. I realize that doesn't really mean a whole heck of a lot - but it means things are at least progressing and I'm not suffering needlessly. lol. My OB said if I haven't gone into labor by next…
  • @VeryKatie I agree, everyone should keep their mouth shut. Including myself, because I'm sure I've said stupid things as well... I had someone in the building I work at the other day ask how much longer I had, and I was SO tempted to say "Oh, I'm not pregnant"... I'm VERY obviously pregnant - like basketball under the…
  • Maybe men are more worried about offending someone (or sexual harassment charges) and women feel like its "okay" because they've been there to or something asinine like that.
  • I'm so tired of hearing "you're walking awfully slow" ... especially at the end of a work day. F yeah I am! I'm 9 months pregnant, I've just worked an 8 hour shift and everything f'ing hurts!
  • I know its hard to think about weight gain - but of all times in life, this is when its "accepted" and actually healthy to gain (some) weight. *Try* not to stress about it too much :) It'll come off after baby (that's what I'm telling myself. I did it last time, plus some... so here's to hoping this time is just as "easy")
  • @VeryKatie Ha, I typed it wrong. I'm 36w4d - don't need to be adding any more time on!! 3 and a half weeks to go... or less... please be less... Due June 16th (Hubby's birthday). Sleep? What's sleep? I use my maternity pillow and it helps with the belly support - but I usually wake up several times to turn over to my right…
  • @MrsS8214 During the first trimester I tried to eat at maintenance. During the 2nd trimester I ate at maintenance +300 and during the third started out at maintenance +500, but haven't really been tracking the last month or so - I'm 35w4d. I had morning sickness until about week 26 - and didn't really have any gain until…
  • Survived the OB. I told her I was so ready to be done when she asked how I was and then she said "we're almost there". We're? No no... Also told her I hadn't been feeling the greatest and she said I wasn't my normal perky self. Well no. Everything hurts and I feel like I'm going to throw up. She swabbed for GBS and checked…
