Same thing happened to me at the beginning. It will pass! Just make sure you are logging accurately and peanut butter will be your best friend in the meantime ;)

Liquids are actually required! I drank water, green tea, English breakfast tea, iced tea, etc all day long! Definitely stay hydrated! Plus it helps keep your digestive system moving.

I don't know that it matters as far as gender is concerned. I had a lot of success with it, and I know a lot of men who did as well. I will say it is definitely not for everyone. I have never been a breakfast eater, and always was very hungry at night. It worked for me because I could fit my eating window around when I'm…

I would eat all of my calories between 5pm and 9 pm Monday through Friday. Noon to 8pm Saturday and Sunday. It worked well with my work schedule. (And gave me more leniency on the weekends) I combined "one meal a day" and intermittent fasting to make it fit my lifestyle. It's nice because you can still eat at restaurants…

I knew nothing until I joined mfp....for the 2nd time ;)

IF is definitely not a "quick fix". It's just an alternative way to create a calorie deficit. Meal timing doesn't matter and as long as you are hitting your daily goal, it's completely healthy.
-
I did this from August until about a month ago...I have lost 43 lbs and felt sooo great when I was doing IF. I only stopped because I started working out early in the morning and had to adjust my eating times! Feel free to message me if you have any more questions :)

I have nothing to add....except that this thread just made my night. And I will be laughing about this for days :)

I definitely wasn't trying to come across as a know it all! Just wanted to share that eating late doesn't have to be a problem! I've just always been a night time binge eater and it feels great to finally have control of it :) Good luck everyone!!!

Not trying to rain on anyone's "no late night snacking" parade, but you can always allow for late night snacking by prelogging your day or adjusting your eating times. I love to eat before bed....so I make it happen! And I lose weight doing it :)

Switch things up! Play with your calories. I had a lot of luck with intermittent fasting. Also make sure you haven't become lenient with your calories. I don't use a food scale, and I noticed that I after a few months I was starting to overestimate :) good luck!!!

Hahahaha! Yoloam....that made my day!

And this :)

Unfortunately spot reduction doesn't exist. Your body will decide where it loses from. You should look into upping your calories if you are interested in fat loss though. Right now you are probably losing muscle mass...which is doing the opposite of what you need if you want to burn belly fat.

Other people started noticing after 20ish lbs. I started noticing at 30. I think it all depends on how much you have to lose and how you carry your weight.

And this ;)

I have been doing hella cardio at the gym for a couple weeks. After a few days I found that I was up almost 7 lbs! It's discouraging...but like it was previously stated, when you drastically change your activity, you get small tears in your muscle fibers...they fill up with water as they heal (causing temporary weight…

My withdrawal headaches were terrible...I actually picked up a caffeine supplement at walmart and lessened the dose gradually over time. Probably not the "healthy" way to go about it...but I have a stressful full time job and 2 kids...I can't be having daily headaches!!

Yeah this has nothing to do with you...and unfortunately there is nothing you can change about yourself that will fix the situation. He's clearly insecure and is looking for an outside source to stroke his ego. Now that he is married he is trying to make sure he is still attractive to other women. You probably have a…

And here I thought I was good at math....my brain hurts...

So don't exercise! I lost my first 25 lbs without any exercise at all! Figure out what time of day you are most hungry and use that to your advantage! Tweak your calories, meal timing, water intake, etc until you find out what works for you!
-
This is fantastic!! Awesome job!
-
It goes a lot faster than you think! Also, I always think about it as time will pass regardless...you might as well pass the time doing something productive :)
-
Love you, twinnie!! So proud of you
-
Open! I do a combo of intermittent fasting and one meal a day. 1400 calories a day
-
I lost a cup size before I lost a pant size. But I was also 261 lbs at the start. With your weight I doubt you'll lose that much.
-
Don't trust the MFP estimates. They were telling me I was burning 200-300 calories on a 20 minute bike ride. Now that I have my HRM, I'm lucky to burn 120! I would suggest investing in a heart rate monitor, and just listen to your body. If you feel super hungry, eat them back. If you don't, then don't! Or even half. Just…

After a few days you'll find it a lot easier to fill up your calories. In the meantime, Peanut Butter!
-
I agree with everyone else. I eat most of my daily calories after work and before bed. Definitely won't affect your weight loss!

I haven't wore a fat sucker (aka - Spanx) in over a month!!!
