i upped my calories from 1600-1800 to 2400-2600 (i like a range so i don't go nuts if i go over) over the last week and starting yesterday i was having a hard time staying out of the kitchen, whereas at the beginning i was like "really, MORE food?" good to see that this is normal. i was just going to blame it on TOM :)

sounds like an awesome time!

protein shakes - i'm still looking for a good one, i've just started drinking them white fish chicken greek yogurt skim milk unsalted nuts

. this was mine too... i only vaguely remember it

you know you're addicted when you get a thrill out of sore muscles the day after a hard workout
-
we're having a lean cut pork loin roast, cooked in the crock pot with red potatoes, carrots, peas, corn and onion slivers... waldorf salad, baked mac n cheese, and an apple cake with a home made cream cheese/cinnamon frosting for dessert.

eh, i lost friends cause i was questioning my plan as to whether i should be eating more than 1700 calories a day with as active as i am and subsequently decided to up my calories. people are weird.

i feel like a peeping tom... and i'm very impressed with the hard work going on. i like the V... but in my mind nothing tops a nice set of buns. :)

cooked mushrooms or any other 'slimy' food. also, cottage cheese.

dates with my husband usually involve getting hot and sweaty... we go to the gym together 4 or 5 times a week. that's about it for our 'dates' with the exception of movie nights at home when he doesn't have a ton of work to do for his classes.

if you like chicken, this is one of my favorite ways to dress up a boneless skinless chicken breast http://www.tasteofhome.com/recipes/Honey-Pecan-Chicken-Breasts i usually add a little cinnamon to the mix (because i love the cinnamon pecans) then make a big salad to go with it, and it is a very filling dinner.

i love seeing progress stories :) they help me feel more confident in my decision to eat smarter instead of starving.
-
i snipped parts of your original post to highlight some things i've said myself to my friends who tell me "i have a hard time eating 1400 calories...." and i think "funny, just last month i saw you snarf down 4 slices of pizza".... i didn't get fat eating a healthy 2000 calorie diet and exercising at a modarate level, i…

Thank you so much for starting this group. Because of the information I've gained through links provided and stories shared, I have decided I will never again eat below 2000 calories (with the exception being sickness). I honestly can't believe the number of people that thinks it's scandalous to eat at 2000 calories...…

i spend at least an hour and a half, sometimes two in the gym (depending on my cardio/strength routine for the day) at least 4 times a week. i work hard, sweat, and turn beet red. i was trying to do that on 1500 - 1800 calories per day. HRM says i burn between 700 and 1000 calories most days at the gym. (i did not lose at…

love this! thank you for posting!

I saw this posted on here as advice to someone who claimed they could not get under 130 pounds. i have been reading about lower calorie diets and what they can do to your body in the process of getting rid of the weight, which is why i decided to give 'eating more' a shot. it just made much much more sense. people who give…

That is good to hear, thank you! I typically eat a banana in the morning with breakfast, and again at night after my workout to help with the cramps I get in my legs sometimes after a hard workout. In my house right now I have: bananas, oranges, apples, grapes, strawberries and blueberries. I dip into each of them at least…

i took it for a while, and i never had the greasy poo problem... but i was mindful to keep my meals to 15g fat or less as the product recommends. i think it's basically farce. it claims to help you lose weight by eliminating the fat from your diet, otherwise you'll shart in your good underwear! but the loss is mostly by…

growing up? Bo Lisa. notsomuch but if we used now? Pixie Arlington. much better.

i was under on my carbs today, but i was over on sugar (by over i mean more than double the number it gives me).... but with the exception of a lighter lemon bar i made, and some bbq sauce, most of my sugar was from fruit. i eat a LOT of fruit. do sugar sources matter, or should i not eat as much fruit?

haha no, i'm neither that funny, nor creative. i could just relate to it. last week my husband said "we'll continue this conversation after dinner, you're obviously hungry" he never asks if i'm on my period, if i'm grumpy he asks if i've had enough to eat today. heh.

I'm glad this was posted... here at home I've got a dumbbell set that I can make up to 20 pounds each, and the resistance bands that came with the Billy Blanks Boot Camp DVD set (which I still have!). I am moving at the end of July and don't know if I'll have access to a gym. Smallish town in Texas. So I'll have to use the…

I don't know if this is working for me yet (it has only been two days after all), but even if it is not, I feel human again. I have energy again, and don't dread getting out of bed and knowing there is a bland breakfast or no breakfast waiting for me. More energy and better mood already, this method has to work...…

thank you thank you thank you. it's much much nicer to hear 'good job' than "you can do better."

we've been married for *almost* 1 year - may 21 is our anniversary. we've been together for a total of 3.5 years :)

I just started using this method today. I pretty much decided that stepping away from the scale for the month and relying on measurements would be the best way to go. I never ever thought I would have the problem of "I can't eat all that, it's too much" but I have to admit it's a nice problem to have! So is the challenge…

Confession: I had a hard time sleeping last night because I was so excited about the possibility of actually being full after a meal, or after more than 1 meal per day. I can't tell you how many times I had to choose between being full in the morning or full at night. There weren't enough calories for both! I finally feel…
