If you're doing more physical work during the day you can go into settings and change the physical level of your occupation (the more physical your job the more calories you're allowed per day). I went from having a job where I moved all day to an office job, and that's what I did to switch the calorie allowance.

I have knee problems too at times...I took a water aerobics class and it was great. It didn't bother my knees at all but it was still a good workout. Sometimes I end up riding a stationary bike instead of jogging if my knees are bothering me. Hope that helps. :)
