  • I need to track everything, even if it's a bad day. Burying my head in the sand is how I became over weight. This plan has made me appreciate how something that you think is healthy is actually quite high in calories.
  • I have the Jawbone Up24. I like it, it syncs with myfitnesspal & mapmyrun. It tracks my sleep quality & steps. You can calibrate it for distance (it's pretty accurate) although you can't calibrate it for steps (I was worried that it was over counting steps, turns out I'm just more active than I thought I was). One reason I…
  • If it's way over I would probably treat it as a normal day & move my fast day to another. That's what I like about 5:2, it's so flexible. I try not to beat myself up about it as negative feelings about what I've eaten usually lead to me giving up altogether & binging.
  • Well done on getting through your first fast day. I've only been doing this four weeks and have lost each week. I try to only weigh myself once a week (at the same time). I do know that there are people on here that weigh themselves more & take an average. I will admit that I found the weight loss slower than other diets…
  • I agree with the others 10lbs in 6 weeks is amazing & you should be proud of yourself. I have only been doing this for 4 weeks & have lost 6lbs. Please don't be disheartened that you haven't lost this week & stick with it. Look for non-scale victories like measurements and how you feel in yourself. Have you been on the 5:2…
  • I'm running my first half marathon on March 22nd. I completed my first session tonight (I missed last week due to being on holiday). I must admit I found it really tough but I haven't ran since mid December. I'm hoping my fitness improves and it gets easier. Please feel free to add me could do with some friends for support…
  • Please feel free to add me too!
  • Hi, I'm in a similar situation. Currently on 1300 cals a day. I don't always manage to log. Looking for support. My husband works offshore so don't always get the chance to exercise with 2 small children (4yrs old, 5month old) in the house. I try & walk a lot with the pram, to/from nursery etc. Would like to get out…
  • To fit (comfortably) into a uk size 10. (In every store/brand not just the ones that run on the large side). To run a half marathon, signing up for my first one in March! To be able to look at myself in the mirror & not suck my tummy in!!!!!
  • Hi there, Age 33 5' 6" SW 161 CW 153 GW 135-140 I usually get to 149 and give up. Would love to get under 140 but to be honest if I can comfortably fit into a uk size 10 (us size 6 I think) I'll be happy. Currently a size 12-14.
  • It relieves stress, makes me feel invigorated. There are days where I have to force myself to go out and run but I never regret it.
