Change the way you cook them. Green beans are pretty boring, but stir fry in non-stick spray and add garlic and a splash of teryaki sauce and a sprinkle of parmesian cheese and you have a whole new veggie. Try mashed cauliflower or baked sweet potato. Just dont be afraid to change things up or to try new things. What's the…

Do what works for you. Good job.

Feel free to add me too. I'm down 11 lbs with 29 more to go. I've also started a weight loss challenge so maybe we can share tips on how to slim down quick.

Good for you!

Thanks everyone. I'm sorry my niece died, but I'm glad that I had this special moment that I will always know was her maybe saying goodbye.

2010 GMC Acadia. My step-son said I look like a rich biotch in it... :) That was my goal. Great car, bad gas milage, but it seats 7 which comes in handy with me having 2 kids and my husband having 4.

Wanting to lose weight. Plus, we have a challenge at work, the one to lose the biggest percentage of their weight wins a trip. I want to win that trip. Oh, and I promised myself for every 5 lbs I lose, I get to treat myself to a massage. I do love a massage!

Go to www.dwlz.com she has a list of all the restaurants and their Weight Watcher points, but it also gives the calories for the meals too. You can use that to plan your meal before going. I had the capilini pomodoro (sp?) last time I was there, I only ate half of it with one breadstick and salad with no cheese and we…

I would suggest you talk to your doctor first before starting at the gym. There may be restrictions for your knee that you need to be aware of. Also, rather than just starting a work out I'd suggest getting a personal trainer (from a medically based gym/fitness center) or if you've had physical therapy is the past, talk to…

My only advice...you need to accept the man for who he is because once you get married, they only get worse. Being a single mother is easier than being a married woman who is treated badly every single day... and it will be every single day. I know I'm a bit jaded because I've been there, done that, and I will NEVER EVER…

I had a dog named Tessa - I never had any girls so all my dogs get people names. I love that name. Tessa. So cute, I used to call her Tess a lot too.

I'm just returning after a 6 month lapse myself. I'd love to have you on my friends list. I need a lot of support too.

Some cute original names I've heard lately: Raina, Asher (but that was a boy), Ardis and Lainey. I've always been fond of Morgan for a girl.

Good job on the weight loss, I'm sure you'll get back to it and reach your goal. I also took some time off and gained back some of the weight I had lost. I'm ready and motivated to stick with it this time. Feel free to friend me if you need more people on your support team.

It depends on how many calories you allot for breakfast. I allow up to 200 calories, so I usually do a bowl of cereal if I have time or if I'm running I have a wheat bagel at work (150 cal). The bagel fills me up until lunch. Or you can bring instant oatmeal with you and mix it up at work and eat that at your desk.

I'm from Grand Blanc, Michigan. Returning to the site after 6 months off. I lost 10, gained back 3, and didnt want to gain more than that so here I am trying to lose 40! Yikes! I'd be happy to have some Michigan friends on here too. Maybe we can get through the winter with a little encouragement from each other.

I would avoid the buffets. Personally, I dont have the will power to not eat everything that looks good. I would order off a menu, that way you can keep it on the low-cal side. Also, there are tons of little coffee shops around with bagels or soups to keep you satisfied. I cant think of any specific place that was healthy,…

I dont have arthritis but my daughter in law does (she's 29 and has rheumatoid arthritis). She works out everyday. She says it's when she stops working out that the pain is worse. And I dont know if this really works, but she gets Juvederm injections in her lips and she says that has totally taken away the pain in her…

I'm just getting back into this too, so feel free to add me. Sometimes I need encouragement, sometimes I need a kick in the pants, and I'm willing to dole it out too.

I've been on that roller coaster for most of my life too. It's time to get off. I'd love to be part of your support system.

I also sent you a request. I'm returning after 6 months. I need to get re-motivated and would appreciate support also. I didnt add friends the first time around and lost motivation, I dont want to do that this time.

There is a program called Angel Food Ministries that you could check out www.angelfoodministries.com. You pay a set amount $22 to $46 and receive enough food to feed 4 people for a month. It's not brand names, but it's a lot of food. It got my family through a hard time. They are located throughout the US. There's no…
