Before I was motivated to commit to anything major, like counting calories, I started off with small adjustments. I started eating off a smaller(child's size)plate so I wouldn't have to count calories. Then I would walk up the stairs at work instead of riding the elevator. I cut out cokes and increased my water intake.…

I just made another great crockpot recipe that was a big hit with the family. I took deer meat and placed on the bottom of the crockpot; seasoned it with salt and pepper, slap ya momma, garlic powder. Added a can of Cream of mushroom, French onion soup, packet of gravy mix, and a packet of Lipton Onion Soup Mix. Cook on…

I made my own amazing version of Italian Chicken Roast. I am not sure if this is a current recipe, but this is what I put in it: 6-8 Boneless Skinless Chicken Breast(sprinkled with Slap Ya Momma Seasoning(my FAVE), garlic powder, salt and peeper and italian seasoning), 1 bag of mini carrots, 4-6 peeled white potatoes and 1…

Leftovers are an easy fix. I have also started fixing different versions of a wrap. There are so many options. I have had rice, corn, black beans, salsa and cheese wrap. I have put turkey breast, lettuce, purple onion, swiss cheese and hot mustard. The possibilities are limitless...

My only words are freaking wow!! It is stories like this that remind me that I am worth the change and it is very much so within my reach. Your story was very interesting to read as well. I felt like I was reading a novel. Congrats on your success.

Spam, canned ravioli sand spaghetti, canned roast beef on rice, beanie weenies. I can't tolerate canned Campbell's soup. It just seemed like our meals were mostly out of a box or can and it has been the way I fed my children, especially since my divorce. It was quick and easy... Well...not any more...

Hey there!!! Your story is similar to mine! With minor details different. I started July 1st and was right at 292. I have been separated since November of 2009, and finally after a child support battle for a year, I got my finalized divorced on November of 2009. Then, last September my ex married his wife, who cannot stand…

I agree with jd5351? I kicked my drinking nothing but regular dr. pepper habit. I would say that if it is an issue, try weining yourself. Cut down to 1 a week. I dropped down from 1 a diet drink a week to 1 once a month. I really don't crave or need caffeine any more. I stick with unsweetened, decaf tea every once in a…

There were several factors that caused me to reach my breaking point. The first thing that happened to me was when I tried on a tshirt a few months after the last time wearing it and I noticed how snug it was. Second, I went in for surgery and they had to weigh me....I was 8 lbs from 300. That scared me to death. Finally,…
