To me it seems like losing weight and getting cut are not two separate phases. They're one and the same! You will lose weight faster and maintain more muscle if you work on strength and conditioning while you eat a healthy diet.

Try cycling your caloric intake. Eat a caloric deficit for two days, then eat enough calories to maintain your current weight on the third day, and repeat. Also, add 15 minutes of cardio twice a week. Your body is just used to your diet and needs a shake up. Don't stop exercising! Good luck and way to go on the 22 lbs!

You have to lose weight all over. Unfortunately, there's no way to "spot" train, or to lose fat in just one spot. The only thing you can do is try to reach a healthy weight and maintain it. I have love handles and no matter what I do, they never go away. It's a bummer. Just focus on your best traits!
