I was having the same problem. The machine at the gym said 350 calories for 30 minutes. MFP says 283 for the same time..and when I got the HRM (your sitting down, right?) I got 190 calories. I wanted to cry, throw a fit, send the HRM back, and quit the gym. I have adjusted..and stopped eating 200 extra calories a day.…

The gym machines say I am burning 3-400 per 30 minutes. My HRM says I am burning 200. I am totally disappointed with that. When I walk for my 40 minutes though, with all the daycare kids, this site says 150 calories but the HRM says almost 200..so I am happy with that. Everyone says use what the HRM says..so I am.

I did my 30 minutes at Curves this morning...then paced the hallways outside Division F waiting for the judge to call my name. I did that for 2 hours...do I get calories burned/ more food for that??
