  • I'm so glad I read forum posts every chance I get. Everything you just said, I had no idea about. Really? Natural weight fluctuations? To me...it isn't "basic math"...my math teacher never taught me about natural weight fluctuations...what the heck is that? ...I so need to know more than I know about everything! grrrrrr.…
  • :flowerforyou: I likey this post, and thank you. And yes...sometimes I *do* "school" adults. It isn't on purpose, I just don't like seeing people say things to another human being in such a rough, callous manner...it bothers me. As stated..I *am* new here...but this post here...yes... thnx, I needed to read it, and you…
  • hmm...kk, good point, you. *waves white flag*
  • Okay...I will credit you a +1 in my mental notes of "that person made a good point". I AM NEW here...and as such...I don't have the thick skin that many do, and I haven't seen all the posts that many have...but I still plan on saying things in a supportive manner regardless of how long I am here for, because that's who I…
  • The 60 calorie mints are THREE of them...for 60 cal. (2 for 40, 1 for 20, etc). IF she's at work all day long and as she stated she can only walk by the candy dishes so many times before she has issues fighting the urge to grab one....it might behoove her to have something on *her* desk that she can have more of...for not…
  • Again, I agree with you. I never once said everyone around her is wrong (and yes, that would be dumb). What I said was that there are more tactful ways to say things than *several* of the rude comments I saw here....that's all. It's called etiquette. "Get over yourself" and "Get a grip"...straight-up *rude*.
  • :flowerforyou: I likey this post
  • I agree with you on this, completely. However, there are ways to say things that are much less abrasive, more respectful, and less rude than what I'm seeing in this post from *several* people. If we're all here with the same goal in mind (the well-being of our bodies)...I just think saying things in a supportive manner…
  • Wow... I'm so glad that this is the type of community where someone can come on here, have a bad day, rant about it and feel free to do so without everyone giving them a hard time and making them to feel like crap!(purposeful sarcasm) Lawdy, I hope none of you people have a bad day and come in here ranting about something,…
  • omg...it's a mankini. *sends you the bill for my next therapy appointment*
  • wowee...*yes* that helps, thank you very much!!
  • Yes, I do get hungry...or at least I think I'm hungry, but I redirect and drink a big glass of water and either do my wall exercises, or I'll read my book, or I'll come to the forums here, lol...or I'll play with the dogs, or *something* other than eat...usually I'm not hungry after I do that, which tells me that I wasn't…
  • It isn't my medical conditions that cause me to need to stay at or below 1000 calories, it is the medication I have to take for these medical conditions that cause me to have to stay at that number. Once I've lost more weight..*one* of those scripts I may be able to drop and increase my caloric intake, but the others I…
  • Ditto this entire entry. My other embarrassing secret is probably not allowed on this forum, so I will stick to the above.
  • I didn't know this. So if stretch marks are present, that usually means there will be loose skin, and if stretch marks are not present, chances are likely it will bounce back (or at least "hug" your new body better than if stretch marks were there)? IF this is true, it gives me massive amounts of hope. I have zero stretch…
  • True, this....and thank you for saying it somewhat respectfully rather than snarkily. Point well taken, and appreciated. To the OP though....I still think you need to speak with your doctor.
  • Oh wowee. Congratulations to you; well done!
  • I stay within 800 to 900 daily, my max being 1000. Every single one of my doctors (yes I have many) are well aware of how many calories I am consuming and they are on board). BMR/TDEE can't read your medical chart like your doctors (who know the truth of your body). I get picked on for my low calorie intake also...it's…
  • I went through massive headaches when I stopped drinking Coca-cola. All I drink now is water, green tea (it's decaffeinated), and some soy milk. After a while (couldn't tell you how long) it tapered off and now I only get a random headache every once in a while (which is probably a normal human thing).
  • Thank you very much for the explanation. Sooo....if I have 3 of these pickles a couple days a week...it's okay to go by the label and log them as 0 calories even though they do have a low amount of calories? Yeh, the sodium is 280 per 3 pickles and I *do* have high blood pressure (not huge high, but high enough for minimum…
  • hehe....I like this! \o/
  • soy beans :) they're high calorie though =/
  • Thank you for your input, I appreciate it. :) I don't think I necessarily "need" one per say...but I keep looking at every single label I buy at the store...all the labels at home, for calories. I guess I think it might be motivational for me to be able to see them (in numerical value) as they come off also, and not just…
  • Have you *seen* the tushies and thighs on a real rodeo cowboy? Yeh... lol Google this: 01MWX Wrangler 20X competition jeans  No, I'm not a guy with a bubble butt or muscley thighs....but I am a woman who grew up in Montana around the rodeo circuit. lol Editing to add: (not just that particular style, but a lot of…
  • I hated my legs my entire life...*hated them*. Even when I was a healthy weight I hated my legs. I'd never wear shorts...pants that came even remotely close to hugging them, etc. Then my sister (who loved to run her butt off everywhere, swim, etc. and was like a rock star to me) was diagnosed with Primary Progressive…
  • Why the original weight *plus* the extra....it's not scientific in my case. 1 lb of muscle is equal to 1 lb of fat is equal to 1 lb of cotton or 1 lb of metal...it's the same amount of weight (and you're talking about weight, not volume). It definitely was not "going back to old habits" for me....the extra poundage in…
  • I have to add...look at your arms!! I SO want your arms! lol Would you mind sharing specifically what you're doing with your arms to get that kind of definition? ...AWESOME
