What an awesome doc visit...congratulations on your weight loss, amazing accomplishment!

Fantastic work, good for you!

I'm married...but I am hoping my weight loss will bring some attention there, yes. As far as getting attention from other people...no. With regard to attention, I just want less of it when I go out in public (I can't wait for the "fat stares" to go away).

Going back to 24 Hr. Fitness when I'm fit and tell that staff mbr who laughed me out the door--to eat his words. Edited to delete "too personal" info. :embarassed:

I didn't read the other replies, but I will. Kudos to you for asking the nutritional difference question...honestly I didn't care (until I read this, lol). I started with soy and it was just the most horrible thing I'd ever tasted in my entire life (apart from unbrined paddlefish). Almond milk though....oh yum.

Some choose to have WLS, and some don't. With regard to this insurance 'thing'...that's a political tiff waiting to happen. I will say though, that I believe people looking out for their fellow man has become way too infrequent, and if my "taxpayer dollars" go to helping give someone a chance at a better life...I'm all for…

I'm the opposite..I used to use a small plate...now I use large plates. I eat way more now than I ever did before I started losing weight (at least double the amount of food). The difference is what I'm eating now versus what I was eating then. Anyway...yeh, I use regular-sized dinner plates for every meal.

Awesome post...that is all.

I had a pop tart yesterday. I had a Snickers bar on 9/9. Are they the healthiest of choices? Hell NO...but I didn't overindulge. I don't call them "cheats"...I call them food. Could I have chosen carrot sticks instead? Yup, I could have...but I didn't want carrot sticks so that's not what I ate. I usually have something…

I don't know about staying dry (I'm soaked at the gym no matter what I wear)...but I do know that without a sports bra, my boobage could easily smack me from here to kingdom come during my workouts at the gym (and I have small boobs despite my weight). I think you should buy one...if nothing else, to keep the girls tucked…

Inspiring...motivational..simply *awesome*, you are! Thank you for sharing with all of us, and congratulations on your progress...amazing work!

Wow...wow...wow, and WOW again. You've done phenomenally well, and should be very proud of what you've achieved and continue to achieve. AWESOME-sauce, lady!

Well..I've been 148 lb before...and I guess I did always have a "poochie thing" under my bellybutton. I don't mind a pooch...but I do mind a mountain (hence why I'm anxious to move it to the land of misfit fat). Well..I've been teary-eyed too much today, so that pun at the end made me laugh; thank you. :flowerforyou:

Thank you for your reply...and yes, I did need to hear that (I try to remind myself of that but sometimes I fail miserably). I just wish it would show in my underbelly...even if just a smidge difference (so it would feel like I'm getting somewhere). My upper belly doesn't have rolls (it has fat, just not rolls, hard to…

I didn't start taking progression pictures until 9/12/14 (so there hasn't been enough time to tell). That said...I didn't include my lower belly in the picture (just my upper belly)...I doubt it would even fit in the snapshot; I might get daring and try. Thank you for your reply. :')

This...exactly this. ^ I was losing about 4 pounds per week for a month and a half when I first started, and now I'm over-the-moon ecstatic if I lose 1 lb per week (most of the time it's 0-point-something per week). The initial loss is mainly water weight...after that initial "fall off in chunks" time...it gets very rough…

I haven't lost massive amounts of weight (just 50 lbs). But...at the risk of sounding like I'm nutso...the only negative I've experienced so far is that sometimes I'll look in the mirror and think I look bigger than I was 50 pounds ago (instead of 50 pounds less). I don't think that's a negative side effect, I'm not sure…

I have some type of lean red meat, egg-whites, cheddar cheese and Mrs. Dash almost every morning. Sometimes I'll add fruit or a tomato (or I'll save those for something else I have planned for another meal that day). And yes...that totally keeps me full for a very, very long time.
-
Constantly, no...but I did lower my goal weight after I discovered I'm an inch and a half shorter than I was 20 yrs ago (that was a buzzkill).
-
I tend to agree with, yeh...all of this ^

Coffee with too much creamer.

Oh I hear that. I'm down 50 but still have another 150 to go. Yup, I definitely get frustrated by that glaring overall goal weight. Time is going to pass whether I'm making myself healthy or not, though...so I'm just pluggin' away, and hopefully I'll be here to celebrate many, many, many New Years Eves because of it. That…

I used to have that problem because I used to just cook whatever could be thrown in the oven whole and done (pre-made stuff I just had to heat up). I'm making almost everything from lean meats, veggies and fruits now...my sodium ranges between like 800 and 1000 per day. That said...I'm also on a 1500mg/day sodium…

I have felt this way. I'll be 38 this year, part of my goal (apart from 150 more pounds to lose) is to enter my 40s with a bang. I doubt *very* highly I will ever be a 'hot tamale'. I mean...once I reach my goal weight, it will be a 200 lb loss. I'm certain there will be lots of excess leftovers saggin' here and there. I…

Very impressive transformation! Be proud!

That's a very rewarding NSV, yay you!!

Well done, and yes, there's definitely progression there, midsection's looking awesome! :drinker: There are hundreds of pictures of women in their undies in their progression and success stories and nobody bats an eyelash, how is a man posting his progression in undies any different? :ohwell: Anyway..keep on keepin' on,…
