Cans of tuna and eggs. I really don't think anything beats these two when it comes to protein and price. Oh, yeah. Chicken--depending on how you're buying it-- is a pretty good deal when it comes to protein and price as well.

Well, the calorie burn depends on height, weight, age, elevation, speed, etc. What I do is if I'm exercising outside I give myself 50 calories per mile walked/jogged. If I'm using the treadmill, then I just record half of what the treadmill calorie reading gives me.

Ok. I saw your last post... The challenge is no more. I'm a bit disappointed.

I'm in. I will start working out twice a day. I'm on my way to the gym now. Should I just post to this forum, daily?

I'm losing weight for health and life/career reasons. Last year, I started feeling tingling sensations in my hands and feet. It started to scare me because I've seen a lot of people who've lost limbs to problems from poor circulation and such. I want to live an independent life for as long as possible, so this is why I'm…

Yes. I work evening hours, so by the time I get off work I've been awake for about 19 hours. I always want to stop by some convenience store on the way home for chocolate cupcakes and Coke Zero.

Nice miles everyone. Keep on moving. Walked 14.25 miles over the last few days. This brings my total to 101.78 miles walked.

I am a depressed binge eater and I don't feel right taking medication for any kind of emotional problem, so I really don't support certain medications.... And I don't like counseling. If I had to, I would choose drugs over therapy any day of the week, though. Therapy doesn't and can't help me. It justs makes me want to die…

Squatting sure didn't help my no bum situation. Maybe squatting while in a surplus would help. Honestly, I feel like I see better results from walking at a high incline than from squatting because I haven't squatted in quite a while.

I have suffered injuries from lifting and jogging because my joints just weren't ready for it. My elbows and right knee hurt for quite some time. But I must say that the guy who runs the SL 5*5 website and app really stresses good form and warming up/ building up to your 5*5 weight and not just jumping into it. I finally…

If the incline is high enough, then that person may be burning about 100 calories per mile. For example I walk 3 mph at 10% incline, I cut my calorie counter reading in half. That amount still averages out to about 100 calories per mile. I don't have an HRM and I only walk, so I always cut the treadmill reading in half.…

I have about -1500 left at the end if the day...

Walked 16 miles over the last few days. Total of 87.53 miles.

Ha ha. How did you know?! I was so embarrassed today.

Today, I ate 120+% of my daily fiber needs in one sitting...

Well, my current goal is to lose 3+ lbs a week.

Walked 6.33 miles today, well yesterday. That brings my total to 71.53 miles.

I honestly want to create spreadsheets of my habits as well, but I'm not at the point where I'm that obsessed/devoted to my lifestyle change. I really wish I was. The only obsession I had in the beginning was making sure each day's net calorie total wasn't in the red. I put in a lot of hours of cardio to make this happen,…

I've lost 88.5 lbs since August, so that's about 6.5 months. I still have 60 lbs to go before I reach my first goal. I just created a deficit through exercise really. I haven't really been practicing portion control or moderation. I still eat 2,000- 4,000 calories most days. I'm working on my diet still, obviously.

I think her face looks good, but her body does not which I'm surprised. I met a 50 year old regular woman who looked amazing compared to Crawford. She honestly looked to be about 35 years old. It was summer time and she was wearing a pair of tasteful short shorts. Her skin looked amazing! She said all she's done over the…

Whole pizzas. I could/can easily eat a whole pizza and NOT feel stuffed after doing so. I really, really, really want pizza now, but moderation won't work well for me. I've been considering exercising for about 4 hours so that I can pig out on pizza....

Hello. I am 5'6 and have a large frame. I started my journey at the beginning of August at 305+ lbs. I currently weigh 215.6 lbs. My goal weight is 155 lbs for now. My ultimate goal weight is about 130 lbs. I was 150 lbs about a decade ago and still felt like I could have lost some weight, so that's why I'm aiming to…

Jeanniewes, when I'm stressed [which happens every day, haha] I like to leave the house and just walk until I'm feeling better. I try to walk a good, hard 5 miles and then the rest is casual with maybe an increase in intensity here and there. I'm a slow walker, though. I've been trying to increase my speed. I've always…
