I married my ex boyfriend. However, you mentioned your weight gain was a reason he broke up with you. Red flag! What happens if you gain again? Get pregnant? Old? Sick? Is it okay if he decides he's isn't attracted to you again? Be careful.

My home-built touring bike with the Nashbar green frame is Oscar. He's a grouch but I love him.

This topic made me curious so I googled "thinspo". This came up: "Tips and Advice 1. Drink one glass of water every hour. It will make you feel full. 2. Drink ice cold water. Your body will burn calories just getting the water to a normal temperature to digest. Also it is great for your complexion. 3. Drink 3 cups of green…

Checked out your diary and unless you're not logging everything in, you're not eating very much, especially with your calorie burn. Eat your exercise calories. Try to add in more whole foods-grains, veggies, fruits, chicken breast and fewer processed foods like McD's, Taco Bell, etc.

Companies can technically say "no/0 grams trans fats if there is .5 or fewer grams PER serving. If a serving is 2 cookies and you just ate 6 cookies, there's a good chance you had 1.5 grams of trans fats. A quick google search gave me this answer: Trans fats are not essential fatty acids. The consumption of trans fats…

spaghetti squash is mt favorite! I stab it a bunch of times with a knife then microwave it for about 15 minutes, turning every 3-5 min., until slightly soft. Then, let it rest for a bit, carefully cut it open (watch out for the steam), scoop out seeds then scrape with a fork to make spaghetti like strands. I love it just…

Don't forget that your body likes to hang on to an extra bit of fat while breastfeeding so if you're getting stuck at that last 10 pounds (I'm stuck at the last 10-15), that may be your body's way of preserving it's nursing resources. You'll get there, just enjoy your baby time.

Have you checked to see if you have diastisis recti? It's where the rectus abdominis (6 pack) muscles separate during pregnancy. Sometimes they do not go back afterwards unless you work on strengthening your transverse abdominals (the ones that wrap around your abdomen like a girdle), doing crunches will just exacerbate…

LOVE Trader Joe's 100 calorie dark chocolate bar. It;s a ton of chocolate and only 5 grams sugar. I try to save room for one each day.

I like greek yogurt on mine, sometimes mustard, sometimes light balsamic salad dressing. Also, filling it with veggies like celery, bell peppers, onions, etc and chopped hard boiled egg, pickles, slivered almonds....yum!

Calcium will block iron absorption so don't eat your meat with a glass of milk.

Can you find any local farmer's markets or CSA (community supported agriculture) delivery spots or even start your own with a local farm and some friends who want to start eating well. Starting your own small garden isn't very difficult, just a few seeds or starts and some dirt. You can even do a window planter box with…

If you have a Trader Joes nearby, they have really great small desserts like mini ice cream cones and ice cream sandwiches that are about 90 calories each (but you have to be careful and not eat all of them at once). I also love their 100 calorie dark chocolate because it's the perfect amount and only 100 calories (and…

My youngest is 4 months. I didn't lose anything after my first was born and I nursed him for 2 years. I got pregnant with my 2nd while he was still nursing. Now, I'm under the weight I was when I got pregnant with my 1st. This time the weight came off pretty quickly. I always make sure to add an extra 300 calories to my…

So far, my reward has just been to get to my goal weights (162-pre babies, 154-healthy BMI, 140-ending goal) but I am really looking forward to reaching my end goal so I can go get all my fancy pants tailored. I've never been able to wear them because I had never been to a tailor and they needed to be hemmed. Then, they…
