My day 12 as well. No results like yours, but jeans are baggy. And like you, I feel great! Congrats!!

I have weighed between 200# &300# most of my adult life (I'm 58). Altho I know that when I reach my goal, I will have saggy skin, like an elephant, I will still be more comfortable than I am today. I'll be more comfortable moving, sitting, in social situations, in my clothes, walking, traveling, etc. Remember how you felt…

In the mid-200s, I have to lose 25-30# before anyone notices. Except my dad. He could tell when I would shed a mere 10# (and I have a round face!) Also, I agree with cblue315. Some people just won't say anything because they aren't sure how it will be received. One other thought: Are you wearing the same clothes? If so,…

My diary isn't open either. It's much easier to be honest with myself that way. The author who encouraged logging says it becomes a habit, like brushing your teeth. A few necessary minutes for your own well being. I'm taking that approach. One of my MFP friends has logged for over 600 days. She inspires me!

Me: 15 Binge: 0 I'm doing well. I have thoughts, at times. Like at the grocery store or on my home from work. So far, so good.

I'm getting a pixie tomorrow. Next step: gray hair going pastel Teal! Round face or not, I'm going to feel cool for summer!

I joined MFP after I read that logging what I eat is the one best habit for weight control. The man who wrote the article has been logging of something like 9 years. He says it only takes a few minutes and makes all the difference. I hope he is right because it isn't my favorite activity either!

The water is easy. I'll work on moving during commercials if I watch TV tonight

I was a massage therapist for over a decade. Here's what I was taught: Skin is the largest organ of the body, but the last to receive nutrients. Nutrients keep it healthy. As a MT, I know that massage brings blood to the skin -- which carry nutrients. So anything that helps keep the skin supplied with nutrients will help.…

My NSV Goal is: Mainly, feel better about myself, especially around the in-laws. I have a great holiday sweater that I haven't worn in 3 years. Twenty pound loss would get me in that sweater!

My knees don't like "just" walking. But with nordic poles, I can walk as far as I want with no pain during or after. And my arms get a work out! I had one hour of training. Very easy to use.

I loved this enough to buy it several years ago. Dusted it off this morning. Boy! Am I in sad shape! But I still like using it.

I really like junk food too! And I don't really like veggies. AND I'm not fond of exercise. Here's what I'm doing: 1. I have a list of things that will change when I lose weight. I carry the list and read it every time I want to eat. 2. I log all my food and exercise here. I'm committed to that. Yes, I go over the daily…

I drop weight FAST when I get in the water. I don't always swim. Sometimes, I just walk laps. My goal is to move for 30 minutes. It's the best exercise for me! I hope you try it, too.

I have to play mind games to keep at it. Right now, I'm shooting for a 30 day streak. I'm not stepping on the scale till the 30 are up. I also have a 3x5 index card where I listed 10 things that will change when I lose weight. I carry it with me and read it when I feel weak. Maybe you could try the mind games, too.

I'm new to the boards, too. Glad to have a friend!

Hello! I'm new here and would like to join in. Overweight all my life and tired of it. My research has convinced me that logging everything is the way to go. So I am giving this a whirl. I'm 3 days in and feeling positive for the first time in a long time! I appreciate having a place to list monthly goals. Thank you!…
