October 3.....22 miles ugly, gray, wet, rainy...I kinda liked it

If your 40 mile ride is just a ride and not a race, i would focus on several higher mileage days and just miles, HIIT would be OK but I would not make it your foucs unless you know the guys your riding with will turn it into a race or it includes hills and lots of climbing.

well I beat my July goal of 350 by about 75 and missed Aug goal of 450 by about 150 ... SO for September lets say...325 miles

Thursday 24th....another 15 miles...just out riding along Got a 3 day weekend, heading to the coast, will try to sneak my bike in the car.

August 23...15 miles with 247 for the month... yikes 203 miles left....well its still a goal

IN for day 3..Aug 22....31 miles.. 2hrs, 15 min...little slower than normal, coming home took FOREVER.

If the FR60 is simply a watch and you want to mount it to the bike vs. wearing it on your wrist, you can get the foam insulation for water pipes which will fit nicely around your handle bars and then mount the watch to it.

Very typical to fall a time or two when you started, you can practice holding your self in a door way. Once you get used to them there is nothing better. Just try to plan ahead, when you are approaching a stop sign/light , plan on which foot you want to put on the ground and get it unclipped and then slow to a stop with…

Got my commute out of the way.....another 31 miles under my tires...riding home in the dark is different, but I do like it.
