  • I've always heard that for 5 feet you should be 100 lbs or so, and for every inch over that you add 5 lbs. so I'd assume an average/decent weight for your height would range from 130-150 depending on your body frame/build. =)
  • Wow you are an inspiration! =) You look amazing! Congrats!
  • I am 5'3" and my starting weight was 219. I'm at 207.8 right now as of 27 days i believe. =) waiting to weigh again for a day or 2. I have an underactive thryoid, which makes it harder for me to lose weight and keep it off but I think I found a way that works for me using MFP so far =) For you since you're already starting…
  • Cheers! =D
  • My goal is 1260 calories per day and I try to workout 5 days per week and burn at least 200-800 calories per day on those days, depending on how much or what kinds of exercises I do. I've been losing about 3 lbs per week right now =) I've lost 11.2 total and still have a ways to go, but I'm gonna do it!! =)
  • You can do it! Once you get started you'll be fine =) drink lots of water and keep a positive attitude!!
  • That's wonderful and I'm sure you can do it!!! =) I'm on the same journey. Started out at 219 and working towards 160, but ultimately 140-145 =) I've lost 9 so far. hoping to have lost more when I weigh myself by sunday! Good luck and wishing you the best on your journey!!! =D
  • I honestly do think you can do that! =) I hope it works out well for you! Its definitely a goal to look forward to! =)
  • I tend to go over my sugar limit too and mostly from fruits.. its pretty crazy =/ I havent been trying to stay under or on my goal for sugar when I do eat more fruits and I seem to be doing alright. I just try to not let that number get TOO high out of the range.
  • Fall backs happen to most everyone I'm sure, even me.. I havent been eating the healthiest the past few days but I'm still trying to stay within reasonable calories. =/ I know you can get back on track and once you do and see the weight coming off more and more, you'll be more excited to keep going! Don't give up =)
  • That's what I do! I try to stick to 1200 or so per day, even if i workout and burn an extra 600 calories or more, I like to leave those calories alone, especially since it takes burning 3500 calories to lose 1 lb. It seems to be working well for me. =) Good luck!!
  • I definitely agree with you!! Great point!
  • I have gone through that before. I kept trying to push myself even though I was hurting and I shouldnt have, especially when it wasn't a good feeling pain, it was a really painful pain. I just recently spent tooooo much time on my elliptical I suppose, and my muscles in my ankles started feeling extrememly weak, like they…
  • I was wondering how you put those goal type things in your posts that everyone's been posting? Just type it out? or do you get them from somewhere? =)
  • Definitely A LOT of water! Maybe try sports drinks like Gatorade/Powerade, etc. They help me feel a little better if I drink some after a good workout! =)
  • Congrats!!! that's wonderful =D
  • Hi Stef! its nice to meet you! I'm Lindsey! =) Sounds like you're definitely a busy bee! I've had the same problem with doing well, then going down hill, then back again, then back down. I've been doing better lately. I got my boyfriend (who doesn't need to lose weight but wants to maintain his weight and keep track of…
