I rinse my hamburger meat and I blot my hamburger patties, squeeze all the fat right out.

I incorporate chocolate or some kind of sweet every single day. Someone smart once said "you need to have all the flavors", this includes sweet.

I log hatha yoga and it shows 200 cal burned in 1 hr. I don't think I burn 200 cal so now I don't even log it because it distorts my calories showing I can eat 200 more calories. Or if I log exercise I do it at the end of the day. I would suggest one of the fitbits or something similar to get a more accurate count.

There is a wonderful book "Menopause Makeover" that I am finding very helpful with understanding all the symptoms and what can be done about it. I was on estrogen patches for 13 years then I said enough (they are expensive)but now I am hot and cold all night long. I hear you!!

My vitamins, fish oil, etc have calories. I use about 40 calories a day in vitamins so watch out for these.

Same here! I KNOW I don't burn 200 cal doing 1 hr yoga. I don't log my exercise anymore because I don't want to eat back the calories that are not true anyway.

Just keep logging your food. You will probably not eat the 3,500 extra calories per day to gain it back. Water weight has a lot to do with it too. I seem to be stuck but I am not going to give up. It will have to come off some day!

Hi Mary, I'm a 56 year old female account in the state of WA. I've lost 12 lbs so for in about 13 weeks. I have learned a LOT about what I've been eating and what I'm eating now. Especially salt! I hope you continue to log your foods. I love this website and will probably continue forever.

I would break everything down into shrimps, broccoli, pasta and the sauce. I find this to be more accurate. To convert ounces to cups, 8 oz equal a cup.
