I took it for a while and had about 10lbs weight loss as well. I ended up coming off it because it made me stupid and tired. There's a reason they "jokingly" refer to it as a supermodel drug - it tends to make people skinny but "stupid" because of slowed thinking and tiredness. I ended up going on to Calan 240mg daily - a…

I have a lot of trouble with choking and swallowing liquids. It helps a little to use a straw but mostly I have to take tiny tiny sips which is just aggravating.

Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you my best friend of oh jeez...14 years? LOL Well said my bestest, well said.

I haven't read all of the other responses but I wanted to touch base with my experience. I get like that when I push too hard doing cardio with too little fuel in my body. I get dizzy and start not feeling well once I stop or just as I'm finishing. The "not feeling well" is what makes me panic. I start feeling like I'm…

I take Prozac, if I did not take Prozac I would have succumbed to despair years ago. I began on it when I was in college and got control of my life. I came off it after graduating and did fairly well until a few years later when I once again fell off the deep end. I know that I, myself, cannot be without my meds. For the…

I have much younger brothers, we all grew up in the UK and around the time that they were toddlers this happened: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murder_of_James_Bulger In the UK at the time it wasn't unusual to use reigns on children and this enforced their use for many parents. IMO, I don't care what you think of me, if…

I was at Golds for $37.99 a month, they got taken over by Fitness Connection. I switched to the $19.99 a month membership at Planet Fitness so I can tan as well if I want to (although I haven't yet!) but there is an option of $10 a month too.

You are eating tons of veggies and fruit and that's great but make sure that you are getting proteins, whole grains and fats too from plenty of nuts/seeds and whole grains (I think you're vegetarian/vegan?) Proteins, whole grains and fats are equally important to your body even when you are dieting :)

I used to do really well with dealing with emotional eating simply by avoiding my triggers. However, when my house caught fire in 2011 I was forced to live with a number of those triggers for a year while my house was being rebuilt. It took that long to gain back half of the weight I had lost before and while I'm still at…

For me a lot of how I feel at night depends on how I spend my calories in a day and what I eat. For example oatmeal is a lower cal breakfast but tides me over to lunch without using morning snacks. I also find that eating snacks that are food-like (I love Kahiki veggie egg rolls 90 cals with sauce) keeps me fuller than a…

Oh gosh, I'd be terrified to find out! My fatigue run has not ended yet, I still am muddling through the medicaid application process. I wish the world could just pause for a week so I could sleep this away!

Thank you for the welcome :) I'm hoping all works out well but if not it's nice to know there's support here if I need it :)

The name of that medication is Naltrexone.

I will also add here that the discussion of long term side effects has come up in our household in regards to my medication. The way I explained it to my SO is this: "If twenty years down the road I develop a devastating illness as a result of my medication, it is still twenty years of happiness...in fact twenty years…

We have split accounts and we split the bills evenly. It just works for us and has for the past 12 years. We don't do the "toys for me but not for you" idea though, whatever we have left after bills we usually spend on each other anyway LOL But if there is significant "extra" left (when does THAT ever happen?????) we…

Everyone's body is different, this is why Paxil works well for some and Xanax works well for others etc. I have been through the ringer trying to find meds that work for me, my body is difficult to say the least! I tried Luvox for OCD and while it worked it made me feel nauseous. Luvox is also prescribed for depression and…

My mom has been on Copaxone for just about as long as it has been out as well but she has no problem with swelling of any areas of her body. It's hard to distinguish for things like this though because she is on so many different medications to control symptoms that it would be hard to distinguish what causes any adverse…

My mom takes a compounded medication to help with her fatigue and it works amazingly well. I'll have to ask her about the name of it, I can't quite remember at the moment.

Well today went down the toilet and I'm still working so can't make the time I need to work out. Mondays are always this way with ridiculous deadlines so I have decided my day off will now be Monday. Tomorrow morning I sign up at my new gym and I sweat until I can't sweat anymore. I am tired of my clothes not fitting.…

Quoting my real life best friend above because she is the strongest woman I know and you can be just as strong and make it through this. Sending you both gigantic hugs and perseverance and all the love your hearts can take and then some *hugs*

If you like balsamic vinegar like I do you can mix a little olive oil and a little balsamic and make your own dressing that way :)
