I'm in Decatur. Got here Mar 2011. Love it!

That's fantastic, Debbie! So happy you're here and that you're inviting your friends. As you can see, we are less than 24 hours old, but we're already growing pretty quickly! Yea! It's a movement! ;c)

Hello Houston! I lived in Montrose for 10 years, then the Heights, and finally Galveston for the last several that I was there.

^^^Similar story. Lost my first 50 pounds in 9 months zig-zagging (a/k/a calorie cycling), and still do it. Zig-zagging alone is not enough, though. The average calories at the end of the week is what determines weight loss. I dropped mine by 200/day two weeks ago and am down nearly 4 pounds after a 2-month plateau. That…

That is SOOO great! Congratulations!!!

I'm keeping my favorite good jackets and dresses to have tailored once I reach my goal weight -- just a few items.

Don't be embarrassed! This is about YOU, not about anybody else. Record it as best you can so that YOU can spot trends and see what works and what doesn't. Nobody else matters. Do it for you!

I calorie cycle (zig-zag), knowing I'll probably have a night out on the weekend, and maybe even a Sunday brunch, too -- so I save some extra calories to make up the difference. For instance, last week my goal was to average 1350 calories a day. My week looked like this: Mon 1003 Tues 1414 Wed 1288 Thurs 1276 Fri 1815 Sat…

I love to cook, love to eat out, love to eat good food. I've spent the last year figuring out how to recreate my food world to be healthy & nutritious and still be delicious and satisfying. Please feel free to friend me if you'd like to share menu ideas and tips. Peace, Alice

It's true that your body will detox itself, but your head is another matter. I started my journey with a 3-day fast/cleanse, and it served a few very important purposes: 1) it taught me that I wouldn't starve to death if I missed a meal, 2) it got me off caffeine (wicked headache for half a day), and 3) kick-started my…

So, my takeaway from this conversation is that my protein should probably be set at .7-.8g/lb LBM, which is pretty much where it's been the last year, so that's good! Thanks!
-
I'm set at 35% fat, which happens to match the 1/2g per LBM pretty closely. I'm usually under on that, but am trying to adjust to hit the perfect protein number. Carbs are easy. I'll be adjusting those forever. ;c) I'm taking all the information I've found here, Livestrong, MayoClinic.com and a bunch of other sites and…

Yes. After losing 50 lbs., I reset for 7 weeks, and have just cut again to get me through the last 15-20. I am 54, so my numbers are a lot lower than yours! There is very little room between my current BMR and goal TDEE, so I calorie cycle on a weekly basis to keep it interesting. My LBM is somewhere between 112-120,…

63-142 I'm currently set at *1.4 (110g).

Thanks!

Great. Thanks for the clarification.

One Beyond has no corn. That's what sets it apart from other Purina products and makes it an affordable choice is corn is the issue. It totally worked for my two.

I have two little ones with allergies and I have had huge success with Purina One Beyond. It is a little more expensive than other grocery store brands, but not as expensive as pet store or vet brands. Other key element is NO PEOPLE FOOD!
