Boil a dozen eggs at a time, two hardboiled eggs a day is 210 calories, buy the tuna packs that you can rip open. Get the pre-made salad packs. Get some Tupperware containers. Do you have any down time at your job? That is a good time to plan out your diet.

in 50 years when food is grown in bacterial vats because otherwise the population would starve, will there still be vegetarians? the bacteria will be flavored to simulate any 'food' but will essentially be the same. Just wondering?

well eating right before you go to bed can cause heartburn, so it is better to eat 30-45 minutes before bed. That is a fact. But whatever you take in has the same weight no matter when.

I don't think it matters if you eat before bed or not- as long as you log in what you ate. I work 4-12, so I usually wake up between 9-10, drink coffee. go to the gym 11:30-2-2:30, then I have to rush to get to work. so my down time (lunch is around 5 pm to 6 pm) then I eat something small later in the shift and snack. but…

Thanks for your response! I have had people telling me 'no dairy' and 'you are not a baby cow' so you don't need milk. I normally do not drink much milk but do like the Greek yogurt. And If I stay under my calories if don't think 1 or 2 yogurts a day will kill me! thanks again!

I started my fitness trek 4 days ago, joined the 20 pounds by Easter group. Also I am in a group at work 'biggest loser' contest. I used MFP a few years ago and was able to lose 70 pounds. It really helps to keep an honest diet log. It takes time, but is worth it!
